KILFLYNN CANCER SUPPORT GROUP TABLE QUIZ
The Kilflynn Cancer Support Group annual table quiz takes place on Friday night, December 28th at 9pm and, will be a simulcast between Parker’s Pub and Herbert’s Bar. Conor and Daragh Breen will help with the questions and provide musical entertainment. The proceeds will be divided between Recovery Haven, Kerry Hospice and Kerry Cancer Support. As well as being a great fundraiser, the quiz has become an integral part of Christmas celebrations in the Kilflynn community, with local families returning each year. The fun filled quiz night is not all about answering questions, as there are numerous auctions and raffles, for which the organizers would be grateful to receive any donations. Maybe you could ask a business you regularly deal with for some item that we might raffle or sell on the night. For example, vouchers are particularly useful as the buyer can then purchase what they themselves might like. Also, if you have any unwanted presents don’t put them in the attic; give them to us to raise much-needed funds for our charities. If interested please contact John Flaherty on (087) 2352753. Any donations can be handed in to Parker’s Pub, Herbert’s Bar and shop and Irish Truck and Trailer. As always the organizers thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you on the night!

Another Busy week for Kilflynn Community Together
Overhanging trees on Kilflynn road:
Having acquired relevant permissions, KCT got to work this Saturday morning 1st December
to remove the dangerous overhanging trees near the power station on the road from the N69 to Kilflynn village. The work went very well, with little inconvenience to traffic ( for which we apologise) and the job was completed within 2 hours.
We would like to thank everyone involved for their cooperation, especially Pat McKenna, Pat Hayes, Pat Fahy and Paul Sheehan for supplying the machinery needed to do the work.
The officers of KCT would also like to thank all committee members for their help in completing this work.
We also trimmed the trees along the road within the Saint Columba's Centre wall.
And finally further hedge planting took place at Kilflynn junction (N69) - all hedge planting is now complete at the cross
