JEAN'S CREATIONS
St. Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn was so privileged to recently receive two pieces of artwork, from local artist Jean McNamara, Lixnaw. Jean recounts that “colourful and abstract” was the brief outlined by Mary Carroll, Principal of the school, as she planted the seed that last week culminated in the appearance of two large pieces of art gracing the entrance hall of the school.
Jean said “As with all abstract art each admirer or critic will view and appraise the canvasses in their own unique way…and therein lies their beauty”. The colourful and vibrant artworks have become a focal point in the school foyer, and have been greatly admired by all who have seen them to date. The whole school community wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to Jean for all her hard work, her time, her commitment and her extreme generosity.
We wish Jean every success in her future artistic endeavour.
