CROTTA GAA
The Crotta O’Neills hurling club is waiting in anticipation for our 2019 family fundraising Night at the Dogs.
This is being held on Saturday 28th September in The Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, Tralee.
We are delighted to announce 1,000 EUR in Cash Prizes. If you buy a fundraising ticket, you are in with a chance to win and also obtain free entry to our fundraising night. If you are not in, you can’t win!.
Entertainment will be provided on the night. There will be a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids. And there will be music for all to enjoy after the races have finished.
These are exciting times for our Club.
In 2016, our minors won the County Championship for the first time in the Club’s history. The Minor Team were also County Champions in 2017 and on Sunday 25th August at Austin Stack Park Tralee on County Final Day, the Crotta O’Neills Minor Team were crowned Minor County Champions for the 3rd time in 4 years. What an achievement that can forever hold its place in the history of the Club and in the hearts of the players and the extended Crotta family.
The development of our facilities at Dromakee is now well under way, the field and training areas have been completed in previous years. This year, the Ball Wall has been completed. This fundraiser is to go towards funding the cost of the Ball Wall project. Our recent success and increasing members makes Crotta O’Neills even more determined to continue to improve our facilities for all our current and future players and members. The future is bright.
The extended Crotta family will be on the roads from the 1st week in September selling tickets. Tickets cost 10.00 EUR and U-16 are free.

CAMOGIE
Kerry head to Sixmilebridge on Sunday to face Roscommon in the All-Ireland U16 C Camogie Final. Throw-in is at 3pm. The teams met previously on 28 July and Roscommon emerged victorious on a scoreline of 1-15 to 2-7. Kerry Management of Joe Walsh and John Sheehan are mindful of the athleticism and skill of The Rossies. Both men mentioned the fact that Kerry put in a massive second half performance in the semi-final against Mayo but stressed that this will not suffice on Sunday and a strong performance from first to last whistle will be required. Joe added that he was very pleased with the commitment given by the players throughout the campaign. John concurred with those sentiments and added that they were very grateful to all those who have come on board to support the team both in a logistical and financial capacity. The County Board are very grateful to Joe, John and their Management colleagues Gina O'Donoghue and Sheila O'Sullivan for their fantastic work this year. We wish Management and Amy O'Sullivan and her team the very best of luck on Sunday and we urge Kerry Fans to get behind the girls as they seek All-Ireland honours. It is fantastic to see two Kerry Camogie Teams in All-Ireland Finals this year and this is a testament to the great work being done to promote the sport in Kerry.
Best wishes to Kerry Captain Amy O’Sullivan, Crotta and her team mates in All Ireland U16 C Championship
Final against Roscommon in  Sixmilebridge, on Sunday August 25th  at 3.00p.m
