KENYA RELIEF FUND
Up to the year 2000, priests from our diocese worked in two dioceses in Kenya - Nakura and Kericho. Areas in those two dioceses are among those areas badly affected by the trouble following the recent disputed presidential elections. As you probably know from reports on radio, television and newspapers, at least 400 people have been killed, hundreds of thousands are homeless, hungry and fearful for their future safety.
Because of the urgent need for financial assistance to help the relief effort, a collection will be taken up at all Masses in the diocese next weekend 19th/20th January - please give generously.
