ST. TREASA’S NATIONAL SCHOOL
Grandparent's Day on Friday 1st February, Mass in St.Mary’s  church, Kilflynn at 10am followed by refreshments in the school. Everyone is Welcome.  St Treasa’s National School, Kilflynn is open for enrolment for 2019/2020 school year. Enrolment forms can be obtained from the school office. ACTIVE RETIRED
Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Active Retired group are meeting in the Abbeydorney Parish Community Hall on Wednesday 30th January  from 1pm to 4pm. Light exercise, entertainment and a four course meal all for €10. A free bus service can collect people from their homes and bring them to Community Hall on every second Wednesday, this service can be used for access to the Active Retired Group, Doctors, Shops, Chemist, Post Ofice etc. Please contact Kerry Links if you wish to avail of this free service, please phone 1890 528528. New members are as always most welcome.

Dancing recommenced on Monday 21st January  in St. Columbas Centre, Kilflynn  after the festive season. Dancing will continue every Monday at 8.45p.m

is now taking requests for 2019.  We provide a low cost maintenance and minor repair service specifically for senior members of the community of North Kerry. Freshen up the rooms of your home for the New Year with a new coat of paint. FOUNDATION LEVEL COACHING COURSE

GAA NATIONAL CLUB DRAW
The GAA National Club Draw is now an annual event for the past 5 years. 
It’s sole purpose is to help Clubs raise much needed funds to aid in the development and in the promotion of the games of hurling and football. 
Crotta ONeills is participating in the 2019 National Club Draw. 
Crotta O’Neills will retain ALL proceeds from the tickets sold. 
If you buy a ticket, you are in with a chance to win some fabulous prizes such as a car, a travel voucher to the value of 2,000 EUR, All Ireland Hurling and Football Final Packages 2019, Blue Book vouchers and Shopping Vouchers ranging in value from 250 EUR to 1,000 EUR. 
There is also a Club Specific Draw for all Clubs who sell in excess of 200 tickets. 
Tickets are 10 EUR each and Crotta O’Neills is now selling these tickets through nominated Club Officers as well as a Club selling initiative in the community over the next 2 weekends. 
Tickets will be available for sale until Saturday 9th February. The Draw will take place on 6th March. 
Crotta O’Neills welcome all support for this Draw which will allow the Club earn some much needed funds whilst also allowing all ticket holders the chance to win some wonderful prizes. Thank You on behalf of Crotta O’Neills. 

KERRY SENIOR HURLERS
The Kerry Senior hurlers commence their Allianz Hurling League Division 2A campaign against Antrim in Corrigan Park, Belfast on Saturday 26th January, when they beat the home-side by 2 points on a score of 1-21 to 2-16. The Crotta Hurling Club was well represented on the Kerry team by Sean Weir (Corner back), Jordan Conway at corner forward scoring (0-05)
and Thomas O’Connor also came on as a sub.
Well done to the Kerry players and their mentors.

Cillard Camogie Club Registration Night
Fri 8th February from 7 - 9 pm in Kilmoyley Community Care Centre - all ages and levels welcome. U6 to U16 teams - registration is for existing players and beginners.

KERRY CAMOGIE
Are having a big night on Saturday 26th January in Ballyroe Heights Hotel with a show called "Stars in their Eyes". Under the guidance of the great Cassie Leen. There are 10 Acts rehearsing hard at the moment and will show their brilliant showmanship on the stage on 26th January. Each act will impersonate a famous Star while also bringing their own talent to the act.   Tickets are €20 each and can be purchased off local contestants Amy O’Sullivan (Crotta), Barry Mahony, Padraig Logue, Mike Parker, Jane Behan, James Barry and Darragh Behan who are taking part in the show. CARE GROUP
The Abbeydorney/Kilflynn care group held its Christmas Party on Sunday 9th December in Ballyroe Heights Hotel, Tralee. Over 80 people had a wonderfull meal and the music was provived by Ann and Maria . The commitee would like to thank all who donated a spot prizes that made the afternoon enjoyable for our senior citezens of the parish.

CROTTA U-21 VICTORY SOCIAL
There is great demand for Crotta hurling club Annual Social Tickets. 
The Social will be held on Saturday 12th January in Ballyroe Heights Hotel, Tralee.
The victories U-21 hurling  panel will receive their County Championship medals from special Guest Former Tipperary goalkeeper Brendan Cummins after the Four-course meal. As usual the club’s hall of fame award (Matt Stack and P J Stack Memorial Trophy)  will be presented. The Club Hurler of The Year will receive the Dick Parkinson Memorial Trophy, and The Sam Hilliard Memorial Trophy will be presented to The Club Person of The Year.  The minor hurler of the year will received The Monty McElligott Memorial award,the intermediate player of the year will receive the Maurice Egan Memorial award  and the U-21  player of the year will receive the Diarmuid Galvin  Memorial award. Music on the night will provided by Big Jim. Tickets  @ €25 are available from: Parker's Pub, Kilflynn, Herbert's Bar and Shop, Kilflynn and from Crotta Chairman Paddy Weir.
A bus will operate on the night from Kilflynn village to Ballyroe at 7.30p.m sharp and home afterwards. The bus fee will be €3 to Ballyroe and €5 home to the door within the Parish. 
So don’t miss an opportunity to catch up with friends, enjoy wonderful food and entertainment and join us all to commemorate our players – a memorable night guaranteed.

TRALEE C.B.S ARE MUNSTER HURLING CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to Tralee C.B.S U-19 Hurlers who captured the Munster Schools Senior E Hurling Championship title with a 3-14 to 3- 04 Victory over Mercy Mounthawk Tralee  at Institute of Technology Tralee. On Friday, 14 December. 
Well done to the Crotta hurlers on the CBS team Ryan Mc Elligott, Daniel O'Rourke, Aodhan McKenna, James Sheehan, Declan O'Donoghue, Denis Quille, Darragh O'Donoghue, Sean McGrath, Denis Nolan, Cillian Baker and Eamon Rohan. Well done to the panel of players  and to their trainers  Mr Ryall and Mr Griffin on a great victory. Fantastic achievement lads

CROTTA WREN GROUP 
A Huge THANK YOU to the Crotta Wren group who worked tirelessly Wednesday, 26th December (St Stephen's Day). The group were fantastic not only St Stephen's Day but also on Sunday 16th December when we played outside the Brogue Inn Tralee. The club also received an amazing donation towards our defibrillator/ medical equipment. This kind person wishes to remain anonymous. However the Club would like to thank him/ her for there amazing act of generosity, kindness and fantastic support. The funds raised will enable us to install the defibrillator/ medical equipment at our pitch in Dromakee for the 2019 season. The wren group on both days included Sonny Egan, Paddy Weir, John Howard, Karl, Paul & Stephen Shanahan, Sean, Kevin, Ellen and Roisin Abetya, Pat & CIllian Hussey, Mary Dowling, Ray Fahy and Paric Shanahan. Thanks also to John Mahony for kindly lending us his van for the day. It never ceases to amaze me the welcome, hospitality, generosity and support we receive from everybody in our beautiful community. On behalf of Crotta Hurling Club THANK YOU.
