Results: 1. Brendan Keane (18) 47 points; 2. Gary Hogan (19) 44 points; 3. Fergus Fitzmaurice (17) 44 points; 4. Gerald Griffin (13) 43 points; 5. Shane Kelliher (22) 43 points: 6. Eddie Enright (21) 40 points. Front Nine: Gerry Fuller (24) 21 points; Back Nine: Mundy Hayes (18) 21 points.

CROTTA G.A.A NIGHT AT DOGS
Crotta hurling Club Secretary Mark Hussey is appealing to all locals in Kilflynn and throughout North Kerry to support the upcoming night at the Kingdom Greyhound Track on Saturday July 24th. There has been a major development at the clubs pitch at Dromakee, Kilflynn which has been badly needed for some time but there has been a substantial cost associated with this. There has been great support so far but with now less than 3 weeks to go Mark is calling for major support "we are looking for the people of Kilflynn and North Kerry to support our night at the Kingdom Greyhound Track, we are selling tickets at 5 euro each, half page adverts for 50 euro, dogs can be sponsored for 20 euro each and we would be very grateful for any business that might donate a spot prize for the night". Mark would also like to thank anyone who has supported the club so far but he appeals for the support to continue "we really appreciate the support so far but we need the support to continue over these last couple of weeks and get a really big crowd in on July 24th". A great night of fun is assured with the races staring at 7.55pm on the night and families are all welcome and a night at the Kingdom Greyhound Track is always very enjoyable. Tickets are available for any club officer or in Parkers or Herberts Bars in Kilflynn Village. To sponsor a dog contact Mark Hussey on 087 6822212, Mike Parker on 087 9794541 or John Mahony on 086 8520228.

CROTTA U10
Our U10 team took part in the first North Kerry Blitz last Wednesday evening 30th June in Abbeydorney. Normally the blitz takes place on a Saturday but due to Kerry playing on the original date that was fixed it was decided to play midweek. Due to the fact that Ardfert U10 team did not turn up it meant that only three teams were in our group. Our first match was against Abbeydorney and although trailing by nine points at half time Crotta put in a tremendous second half and at the full time whistle the score was Abbeydorney 3-04 Crotta 3-03. Abbeydorney got the perfect start and scored two goals in two minutes. Darragh O'Donoghue pointed a sideline and drilled a piledriver to the net to leave two points in it. Abbeydorney scored 1-04 up to half time. To be fair to our U10's this was their first match together but backed by the strong breeze they played really well in the second half. Sean Murnane scored a goal early in the second half and 1-02 from frees by Darragh O'Donoghue left the minimum between the teams. Causeway were our next opponents and a superb Denis Quille goal gave us the perfect start. Paraic Shanahan(Capt) then pointed from a tight angle before Causeway replied with a couple of goals. A pointed free from Darragh O'Donoghue closed the first half scoring. Ht Crotta 1-02 Causeway 2-00. Causeway scored 1-02 and Darragh O'Donoghue got 1-01 for Crotta to leave the full time score Causeway 3-02 Crotta 2-03. The most disappointing aspect of the blitz was we only had two matches to play a panel of 16 players due to the fact that Ardfert never fielded and no semi finals took place. Thanks to the Abbeydorney club for hosting the Blitz and to Mikie Leahy and Maureen Spillane for organising everything. For the amount of work that the U10 mentors of Abbeydorney have put in in the last three years it was fitting that they should win it out. Crotta panel: Sean Murnane(1-00) Darragh Murnane Eamonn Rohan Paraic Shanahan(Capt 0-01) Jack Kevin McKenna Aodhan McKenna Daniel O'Rourke Michael Carmody Aodhan Behan David O'Connell Declan O'Donoghue Cillian Trant Daniel Hunt Darragh O'Donoghue(3-05) Timmy Dillon Denis Quille (1-00). The next U10 blitz will take place in Ardfert on Saturday July 24th.
Crotta U12 team will play an U12 blitz in Causeway on Saturday July 17th at 10.30am.
Bereavement Crotta Coiste na nOg would like to express their sympathy to our Chairman of the Senior Club Paud Tuomey and his wife Noreen and family on the death of Noreen's mother. May she rest in peace.
