THE GATHERING
The Parish Pastoral Council are organising a Social Evening to celebrate the involvement of so many people in various ministries in our parish in Abbeydorney Community Hall on Friday 8th April at 8.00 p.m. We would like to see Sacristans, Ministers of the Eucharist, Ministers of the Word (Readers), Choir Members, Collectors, Counters, Baptism Team, Liturgy Groups, Finance Committee, Altar Society and Safeguarding Children Representatives. Parishioners that were involved in ministries down through the years and anyone who would like to be involved are also most welcome. The evening will begin with Prayer Service and a talk from Paul Montgomery Chaplain Causeway Comprehensive School after which refreshments will be served.

SPRING SWAP AND SHOP EVENT
MUAH Beauty Studio,Kilflynn will be holding a spring swap shop on Sunday April 10th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. If you would like to come and sell some of your fabulous fashions you are ready to part with, please email muahbyaisling@gmail.com so I can confirm space for you on the day! There will not be any fee to sell your items, just hoping for a strong turnout. We all have items in our closet that still look brand new that hopefully can find a happy home for a good price!'

TODD NOLAN HURLING TOURNAMENT
The launch of the Todd Nolan Munster Minor Hurling Tournament will take place in Parkers Lounge, Kilflynn on Saturday 2nd April at 8.30p.m All welcome to attend.

CROTTA COISTE NA NOG AWARDS NIGHT
The Crotta Hurling Coiste na nÓg club awards night will be held on Saturday 16th April at 7.30pm in St. Columbus Centre, Kilflynn. (please note chance of date)
Eight time All-Ireland winner, and two time All Star, The Kilkenny Hurling legend Richie Power, will present the victories Crotta U10/12/13/16 panels with their Medals. All welcome to attend.

CYCLING
The Local Crotta Cycling Group will continue their cycling trips on Tuesdays
and Thursdays. Starting from Barry's in Crotta at 6:30 p.m. All are welcomed
even if you are a novice cyclist or have not cycled for a number of years.

The tenth annual Denis Lynch Memorial Golf Scramble will take place in Killorglin Golf Club on Saturday 21st May.

Saturday 2nd April is County Clean-up Day and Kilflynn Community Together have organised to be part of it. Anyone that can make themselves available for a couple of hours please come along and help make our Village and surrounding area a Rubbish free zone.Bags, gloves and high vise-vests will be provided on the day as well as some litter pickers but if any of you have your own please bring them along.
Meeting in St. Marys Church, Kilflynn car park at II.00 am so come along , it might even be fun and remember Together we can make a difference.

FIXTURES
The U-14 game against Parnells on Saturday April 2nd in the Lee Strand County League Div 2 has been changed to new time of 7:15pm on the same date, Venue is Caherslee G.A.A Grounds , Tralee.
This is due to existing time clashing with the Kerry v Laois game.
The U14 Hurling game due to be played on Friday 25th March, in the sportsfield, dromakee, against St Pats was cancelled. St.Pats could not field a team and have concede the points.

DARTS NEWS
The winners of the weekly doubles darts tournament in Parker's bar, Kilflynn on Saturday night 26th March were Declan Falvey and J.P Twomey who
defeated Sean Leahy and Maurice Fealy in the final. The next tournament will take place in Parker's Snug bar on Saturday 2nd April. Names in for 10.30pm.
The Tuborg and District Darts league results Week 9, Parker's A team defeated The Huddle Bar, Tralee
By 6- 1 on Friday night 25th March, and Parker's Pub B team had a bye in The Tuborg Tralee and District Darts league.

KERRY SENIOR HURLERS

MUNSTER BOXING TITLE FOR CROTTA GOALKEEPER
Kerry had their first Munster championship win on Saturday afternoon 19th March at the Southside Academy, Limerick.
Congratulations to Crotta Hurler
Donnacha Sayers, Leam , Kilflynn
Donnacha beat Michael Mongan of the Kilfinora boxing club by a unanimous decision to win the 44 kg’s Boy 1 title. Donnacha plays his hurling for Crotta and his football with Austin Stack's and boxes out of the Cashen Vale club in Ballybunion.

MUNSTER BOXING TITLE FOR AARON
Congratulations and Well done to Crotta Hurler Aaron McElligott, leam, Kilflynn who boxed brilliantly on Sunday 20th March to win the Munster Boy 2 63 kilo Championship title at Southside Academy, Limerick. The 12-year-old was a class apart, and that fact was exemplifed when the referee intervened early in the first round, and gave a TKO to Christopher O Sullivan of the Duhallow club. Aaron was rightly declared the winner. Aaron plays his hurling for Crotta and boxes out of the Cashen Vale club in Ballybunion.

KERRY U-15 HURLERS
Well done to the Kerry U15 hurling squad in the Gary Scollard tournament on Saturday 19th March in John Mitchell's GAA Club pitch, Tralee. Kerry were unluckily losing to Cork in the final after a fantastic win against Limerick in their first game. The Crotta hurling Club was well represented by James Sheehan, Aodhan MC Kenna, Daniel O Rourke and Declan O'Donoghue.

FIXTURES
Crotta U-14 Hurlers will play St.Pats of East Kerry on Friday evening 25th March at 5.00p.m in the Lee Strand County League Div 2 tie at the sportsfield, dromakee, Kilflynn. The Crotta verus Rathmore U-14 game on Saturday last was called off as Rathmore were unable to play.
The Crotta Senior Hurlers will commence their County Senior Hurling League Div 1 campaign against Abbeydorney on Sunday 27th March at 1.00p.m in the sportsfield, Abbeydorney.

CROTTA REGISTRATION NIGHT
Crotta Coiste na nÓg will hold their registration night on Saturday 12th of March at 6.00 pm to 7.00pm in St Columbus Centre, Kilflynn.
At least one parent/guardian of players must attend. Registration will cost €20 per child with a maximum of €50 per family. New members are welcome.

SCHOOL FOOTBALL
Well done to St.Treasa's National School Kilflynn football team who defeated Bouleenshere , Ardfert and Glenderry National Schools at Caherslee G.A.A Grounds in the Allianz
St. Brendan's Board Mini Sevens on Friday 4th March. Kilflynn qualified for the finals to be played after the Easter Holidays.

UNDER 11 AND 12 HURLERS
Crotta u11and u12 teams (last years u10 and u11 teams) returned to indoor training on Friday 5th February in St. Senans Hall, Mountcoal. Training will continue on Friday nights from 6pm to 7pm. 2 Euro per Child to pay for the hall.

Congratulations to Priya O Donovan, Kilflynn, who came 4th in the U10 Handwriting , Ellen Abeyta, Kilflynn, who came 4th in the U12 Handwriting , and Rory Kavanagh, Abbeydorney who came 1st in the U8 Art Competition, at the County Competition held in Listowel on 27th February.

TABLE QUIZ
Kerry Camogie County Board are holding a Table Quiz in Kerins O Rahillys Clubhouse Tralee on this Friday 4th March at 8.30pm. Tables of 4 €20 on the night. This is a fundraising event going towards all Camogie teams in the county, this cannot happen without your support so we would ask as many people to come along for a bit of fun and bring a team. Your support is very much appreciated by everyone involved with Camogie.

KILFLYNN ST.PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
The Kilflynn St Patrick's Day parade will commence at 4.00 p.m. sharp on Thursday 17th March from St Teresa’s National School. Again, this Year there is Trophy and 100 Euro for the Best float, 50 euro for 2nd place and 25 euro for 3rd place. All those interested in participating in the parade please assemble at the School at 3.30 p.m. Any organisations, business or individual wishing to take part in this years parade are very welcome to do so. Hope to see you all there. Free kids disco after the parade in St. Columbus Centre.
The next meeting of The Kilflynn Parade will be held on Monday night 13th March at 8.30 p.m. in St. Treasa's National School Kilflynn. All welcome to attend this meeting. As the sayings goes “Many hands make light work.

KERRY SENIOR HURLERS
There was no joy for the Kerry Senior Hurlers against Wexford in the Allianz Hurling League Div 1B at Austin Stack's Park, Tralee on Sunday 6th March. The Crotta Hurling Club was represented by Sean Weir, Shane Nolan and Jordan Conway on the Kerry team. Kerry are away to Clare in the next round on Sunday 13th March.

TABLE QUIZ
The parents association of St Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn are holding their annual Fun table quiz on Thursday 24th March in Parker’s bar and Herbert’s bar, Kilflynn. Commencing at 9.30p.m. Lots of spot prizes on the night. Please come along and support this event.

The Kilflynn St. Patrick's Day Parade
Meeting takes place on Friday night 4th March at 8.30 p.m in St. Columbas Centre, Kilflynn. Everyone welcome.

KILFLYNN ENCHANTED FAIRY FESTIVAL
An open meeting will take place on Wednesday 9th March at 9.00pm in St Columbus Centre, Kilflynn. This meeting will give an overview of the draft plans for the 2016 Festival.
At this meeting there will be an opportunity for new members to join the Committee or a working group or register to volunteer over the weekend of the Festival.
Your attendance and support at this meeting would be greatly appreciated as the staging of this years festival relies on the continued support from local volunteers and the community of Kilflynn.

ACTIVE RETIRED GROUP
A social afternoon for the Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Active Retired group will be held in Abbeydorney Community Hall on Wednesday 2nd March. A meal will be served, followed by entertainment. If transport is needed, phone 7135831.

UNDER 11 AND 12 HURLERS
Crotta u11and u12 teams (last years u10 and u11 teams) returned to indoor training on Friday 5th February in St. Senans Hall, Mountcoal. Training will continue on Friday nights from 6pm to 7pm. 2 Euro per Child to pay for the hall.

The Crotta Hurling Coiste na nÓg club awards night will be held on Saturday 16th April at 7.30pm in St. Columbus Centre, Kilflynn. (please note chance of date)
Eight time All-Ireland winner, and two time All Star, The Kilkenny Hurling legend Richie Power, will present the victories Crotta U10/12/13/16 panels with their Medals. All welcome to attend.

CROTTA COISTE NA NOG Registration
Crotta Coiste na nÓg will hold their registration night on Saturday 12th of March at 6.00 pm to 7.00pm in St Columbus Centre, Kilflynn.
At least one parent/guardian of players must attend. Registration will cost €20 per child with a maximum of €50 per family. New members are welcome.

John Mitchell's ladies football team mates who captured the Comortas Paudi O'Se Junior cup on Saturday 20th February. Sarah had a outstanding tournament in the defence for the Tralee side.
John Mitchel’s beat Lucan Sarsfields and Liverpool Ladies which meant it was an all Kerry clash in the junior ladies final at Mounthawk school pitch Tralee. Despite a rally of 1-1 in the final five minutes it was John Mitchells who came through by two points on a scoreline of Dingle 2-7 to John Mitchel’s 3-4.
Well done to Mitchell's ladies and their mentors Pat Brosnan and Joe O'Sullivan.

ST.VINCENT DE PAUL
As and from this week there is a basket at the main entrance of both churches in the parish by kind permission. This basket has empty bags for clothes for your convenience to fill and drop off at the shop in Tralee. If you are not a regular church goer feel free to drop off and take one or two as every little helps and these clothes turn into money and when sold and revert back to us again.
The next church gate collection in the parish is on the weekend of March 5th and the 6th. We thank you in anticipation for your ongoing support in so so many ways.

Best of luck to The Kerry Hurlers who play Wexford in the Allianz Hurling League Div 1B round 3 on Sunday 6th March at Austin Stack's Park, Tralee. The Crotta Hurling Club will be represented by Sean Weir, Shane Nolan and Jordan Conway on the Kerry team.
The TG4 cameras will broadcast the Kerry match with Wexford live from Austin Stack Park in Tralee for a game that throws in at 12.30pm.
It’s part of a double-header that is getting live TV coverage with the Kerry footballers facing Donegal afterwards at 2.30pm in a repeat of the 2014 All-Ireland senior final.
MUSIC
Danny Goggin one of the finest musicians in Kerry will provide the music in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Sunday evening 6th March.
