KERRY SENIOR HURLERS
The Kerry Senior Hurlers hopes of making the Allianz league quarter final were dashed on Sunday 26th March in Austin Stack Park following their 1 -21 to 2-16 defeat to Offaly. The Crotta Hurling Club was represent on the Kerry team by Sean Weir, Shane Nolan 0-6 frees, Jordan Conway 0–01 while Tomas O’Connor was on the panel.
Kerry now meet Laois in relegation decider at Portlaoise on Saturday at 7pm to see who drops out of Division 1B for next season. Good luck to the team and management.
Because of a motion passed at Congress last year - the Div 1B relegation losers do not play the Div.2 A winners as was the case last year and when Kerry came up. So now the loser of Laois v Kerry will go down to Div.2 and the Div 2 A Final winners will be promoted to 1B - so this Saturday's clash is do or die for Kerry !!

KERRY SENIOR HURLERS
IT may have been a 13 point defeat (0-12 to 1-22) but there was certainly no shame in Kerry’s loss to Galway on Sunday 12th March at Austin Stack’s Park in the home side’s penultimate Allianz Hurling League Division 1B game of the season.
They were a match for the Connacht side during the first half, but for a late goal from Padraig Brehony, they would have gone in level at half-time, rather than the 0-7 to 1-7 scoreline. Joe Canning made his first start of the season for Galway hitting nine points. The Crotta Hurling Club was well represented on the Kerry team by Sean Weir (Corner Back), Shane Nolan returned into the side in the half forward line after suspension scoring (0-6f), Jordan Conway scoring 2pts at Corner forward and Tomas O’Connor also came as a sub. Well done to the Crotta players who acquitted themselves very well against 2016 All Ireland Semi finalist.
Kerry will now prepare for a showdown with Offaly on Sunday 26th March at Austin Stack Park where a win would see them into the quarter-finals. Based on their first half performance, they can have great confidence facing the Midlanders.
