Admission is free and everyone is welcome

FASHION SHOW FUNDRAISER:
The community of Kilflynn and fashionistas from all over Kerry turned up in style on Friday, 23rd November in the Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee in support of St. Teresa’s National School fashion fundraiser. The fashion show featured collections from top boutiques, designers and milliners.
Models from the Upfront Model Management as well as teachers, parents and children strutted their stuff on the catwalk. Locals, John Byrne of Prim’s Restaurant, Mike Parker of Parker’s Pub, and Crotta hurlers Séan Weir, Richard Nolan Darragh O'Donoghue and Eamonn Rohan took to the fashion world with ease and grace. We are hugely grateful to the teachers, mothers and pupils who took to the catwalk with such aplomb - Ciara Walsh, Philomena O'Connor, Geraldine Parker, Sheila O'Sullivan, Joan Hussey, Treasa Guerin, Tricia Healy, Kathleen Doody, Brenda Brennan, Vicky Keane, Kathleen Mc Elligott, Muireann Ní Mhathúna, Sinéad Coleman and Kate Lynch.
Best dressed lady was highly contested on the night. The standard was so high that Jasmine Boutique, sponsors of the prize, awarded both Joanne Mahony and Anne Marie Chawke vouchers of €150 each.
Entertainment at the interval was provided by Anne Flood who runs the successful Flood Lites Youth Theatre Company. Tina Enright who teaches at the school sang a beautiful rendition of the Adele song “Someone Like You”.
The school wishes to express their gratitude to all models, sponsors, the Meadowlands Hotel, Gemma
Knightly Hair & Beauty School, Steve Baker of Ardfert Print, Padraig McElligott of McElligott Systems as well as the shops, designers and milliners who contributed to the overall success of the event. Orla Diffily of Upfront Model Management shared her expertise with the school by co-ordinating the fashion show for which St. Teresa’s are very grateful.
A special word of thanks must be extended to our wonderful Parent’s Association without whom the event would not have been a success. Their dedication to the cause ensured that the fashion show ran smoothly.
The money raised on the night exceeded the school’s expectations and St. Teresa’s N.S. wish to extend their sincere appreciation to those who purchased tickets and supported this endeavour.
