CROTTA G.A.A CLUB RACE NIGHT
At a meeting of the Club on Friday night last it was decided to hold a race night on Thursday 20th December 2007 at Tralee greyhound track to raise much needed funds for the club. A ball wall needs to be constructed to improve all hurler’s skills at the club but especially the young players. Having won competitions at Under 8, U10, U16 and minor this year, it is important to build on this success. These walls are a feature of all clubs in hurling strongholds and are directly responsible for improving player’s skill levels. A few clubs in Kerry have recently built them and we need to keep in line with these clubs so we are not left behind. The club has other developments in mind as well to bring our facilities at Dromakee up to standard. The meeting was a very positive one and a feature of it was presence of a number of parents of underage players especially mothers, who contributed enormously. Members of the club will be calling to houses asking for your support and we know from the past that people are very generous in supporting Crotta G.A.A Club of which we are grateful. Tickets cost €5. Thanking you once again. We will keep you informed through the notes and website of the race night.
