KILFLYNN CHURCH CHOIR RAISE 2,650 FOR AUTISM
The Parents of the children in the Kerry ABA School would sincerely like to thank Willie Keane and the entire choir committee and singers involved with the Kilflynn Church choir, for the wonderful performance on Monday 16th March .St Mary’s church, Kilflynn was packed, and rightly so, as the performance was amazing, great credit due to all who participated.
Being the first performance of it’s kind to be held in the village in forty years makes it all more humbling that the proceeds raised were to help our children , - children with autism that you have never met.
Autism is a hidden condition, that effects not only the child , but the entire family- the child, the parents, the siblings and the caring grandparents, as they struggle, day by day, often in isolation, to find away forward in what seems like an impossible situation.
Our ABA autism school was set up to help educate and provide a ray of hope to those children and their families. We are so thankful and indebted to the choir and the people of Kilflynn for the empathy you have shown to our children.
The school receives no funding from the dept of education, so the money raised - a huge total of 2,650 will be very well used and much welcome and appreciated.
Last but by no means least ,a very special word of thanks to a very person indeed - Joan O’Connell, Rae, Kilflynn, who has been such a good friend to our children for a number of years.
