CROTTA HURLING CLUB VITURAL WREN FUNDRAISER
Due to Covid-19 restrictions this year’s Crotta Wren will be a little different. This Christmas tradition which spans well over three decades has been and continues to be a very important part of our clubs activities. St Stephen’s day is always a very enjoyable day for all members of the Wren group and the members are deeply saddened not to able to visit everybody this year. The yearly warm homely welcome we receive filled with fun and laughter will be greatly missed this year. However we have decided to try and continue the tradition as best we can for this year in the hope that normality will return next year.
The wren group is currently recording some songs/ stories which will be available on the Crotta Facebook/ Instagram pages on Christmas Night/ St Stephens Day for you all to enjoy.
As you may be aware all funds raised by the wren group have always been used by Crotta GAA in support of its players to providing them with the necessary equipment etc required to enjoy their sport and represent our community. Amazingly in 2018 the funds raised enabled Crotta to install a defibrillator at the pitch in Dromakee. Once again this is how any funds raised are proposed to be used in 2021.
Unfortunately due to the restrictions our normal fund-raising efforts could not take place this year. If you would like to support our “virtual Wren” please use the following secure GoFundMe link https://www.gofundme.com/crotta-o-neills-virtual-wren… or alternatively you can donate at Herbert’s the Village Store up until December 28th. Thanks you as always for your amazing continuing support.
