The Dancing classes will resume again for this season on Monday 7th November 2005 @ 9pm sharp. In St.Columbas Centre, Kilflynn. Due to unforeseen circumstances we apologise for the late start this season but according to our dancing instructor we will be all in ship shape for Christmas. Please note change of Mass time in St. Mary's church, Kilflynn from this Saturday night 5 th November. The vigil mass will be at 6.30 p.m. and Mass time on Sunday's will be still be 10.00 a.m.

The Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Community Games will hold their Annual General Meeting on Friday night 4 th November at 8.30 p.m. in the Sports Complex Abbeydorney. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Local Quiz buffs were out in force at Parker's Pub, Kilflynn on Friday 28th October for a fundraising Table Quiz in aid of Kilflynn Santos Soccer Club. The Man in the hot seat with the questions was Santos Chairman Paddy Weir, who lined up a thorough provoking series of questions that had the grey cells of everyone working overtime.
After six rounds, twelve questions in each round (72questions) First prize on the night went to “Castletown Harriers” Laurence Costello, Tom Shanahan and Bernard Costello and the runners up prizes went to: Julie O'Flaherty, Mary Ellen Crowe, Julie O'Sullivan and Catriona Daly.
The organisers would like to all the people who supported the quiz, and to the people who generously donated spot prizes, a special word of thanks to quizmaster Paddy Weir and to Carina Lynn for checking the answer sheets and to Parker's Bar for hosting the event and sponsoring the thropies.

The history of the Diocese “Working in the fields of God” has been published recently and now available in The Sacristy in St. Mary's Church, Kilflynn or in St. Bernard's Church, Abbeydorney at only €20.

A Social evening for the Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Actively Retired will held on Wednesday 2 nd November in the Community Hall, Abbeydorney from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30. P.m. Everyone welcome.

Pilsung School of Taekwon-Do Classes has Commence in St. Columbas Centre, Kilflynn and will continue every Saturday. Class times: 4p.m. - 5 p.m. for Junior's (6yrs to 11yrs) and 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Seniors (11yrs and Over)
The Instructor for the classes will be Mr. Mike Murphy 4th Degree Black Belt and International Instructor/Examiner. Mike has over 17yrs of experience in Tae Kwon-Do.

Kilflynn Santos Soccer Team had a 3-0 victory over neighbours St.Bernards United at Mounthawk Park , Tralee on Sunday afternoon 30 th October in a Denny Division 2 A tie. Santos goals coming from Centre back Aiden Scanlon and Two from Colm Mc Elligott Santos team was Brendan Keane, J.P Mc Elligott, Seamus Enright, Aiden Scanlon, Andrew Keane, David Cronin, Colm Mc Elligott, Tom Burke, Patrick O'Connell, Gary Hogan and Robert Murphy. Subs used M. Mc Namara and Gary Curran.
Santos are at home this Sunday 6 th October to Newtown Athletic at 11.30 a.m.

Listowel Food Fair takes place from Thursday 10th to Monday 14 th November.

St. Senans Football Club are holding a 41 card drive every Monday night in their Clubhouse, Mountcoal and it begins at 9.00 p.m. Sharp. Prizes each night for Game winners and Runners up also ticket draw and table prizes. Winners/Runners up each night qualify for the final on Monday 8 th May.
1st Prize €500, 2nd Prize €200.

An Epilepsy Information and Awareness Evening will be held in the Imperial Hotel, Denny Street , Tralee on Tuesday at 8.00 p.m. The talk will include an overview of epilepsy/management regulations etc. followed by a question and answer session. The Abbeydorney Ladies Football team will play Parnell's of London in the All Ireland Intermediate semi final on this Saturday November 5 th at 1.00 p.m. in Ballyduff. Best of Luck Ladies.

Cronin's Bar was the venue for The Crotta hurling club lotto Draw on Monday night 31 st October. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the Independent observer Christina Caffrey, Kilflynn, were 16,20,21, & 22. There were no winners of the €1,800 Jackpot. The lucky dip winners each receive €35: Jimmy Lawlor, Tullacrimmin, Abbeydorney, Frank O'Donovan, Abbeydorney Post Office, and Joan Shine, Cappa.
The next draw takes place in Parker's Bar on Monday night 7 th November with a €1,900. Tickets are available at €2 from Club tickets sellers or from Cronin's Bar, Parker's Bar and Kilflynn Post Office.

The Crotta under 21 hurlers advanced to the Semi final of the County under 21 Championship with a 3-09 to 2-06 victory over Causeway in Ballyduff on Sunday morning. Causeway led 1-04 to 1- 1-03 at half time. Crotta team and Scorers: Paul Costello, Darren Twomey, Patrick Quill, Jonathan Caffrey, Diarmuid Mc Kenna, David Galvin, Jer Galvin, Mikey Barry, Cyril Lynch, Philip Twomey (0-01), Seamus Enright (0-02), Declan Mawe (1-01), Colm Mc Elligott 0-04, Francis Keane and Martin Keane (2-01). Congratulations to Tim Sheehan, Ballyconnell, Kilflynn who celebrated his 50 th Birthday with his Family and Friends at a surprise party in Cronin's Bar, Kilflynn on Saturday 29 th October.

The outing is open to members who have represented Kerry in football; hurling or handball and who have an official golf club handicap.
