Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Active Retired Group. Meeting again on Wednesday 31st July at the usual time of 10.30 a.m. in Abbeydorney Parish Hall. This will be our last meeting before our break for the month of August, returning September 4th. I hope you all have a lovely break and enjoy the summer holidays. I would like to thank all the members for your regular support and participation in the weekly meetings and days out. It is the members of the group who make the Abbeydorney/Kilflynn active retired group such a success. In the words of George Bernard Shaw “When you grow old you don’t Stop laughing, it’s when you stop laughing that you grow old”. Look forward to seeing you all again in September. SYMPATHIES
The death has occurred of Noreen O’Sullivan (née Neenan), Late of St Anthony’s, Abbeydorney and formerly of Laccamore, Kilflynn peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the team in Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home, Kilcummin on Wednesday 24th July. Predeceased by brother Michael and her sister Kathleen.
On behalf of the community, we offer our sincere sympathy to her daughters Mary, Annette and Son, Gerard, her grandchildren Daniel, Meagan, David, Paul, Ella, Matt and Josie, great-grandchildren Heidi, Fairlie, Will and Oakley, her sister Chris, son-in-law Dave, daughter-in-law Vickey, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends especially her dear friend Christy and his family.
Her remains were reposed in the Day Chapel in St Bernard’s Church, Abbeydorney on Thursday evening. Funeral arrived at St Mary’s Parish Church, Kilflynn on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am and was celebrated by Fr. Jerry Keane Abbeydorney P.P. and Deacon Francis White, followed by burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Kilflynn. May She Rest in Peace

We are running an open evening and inviting girls of all ages who want to try out Camogie to join in a full fun training session with us. Details as below.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS
Herbert’s Bar , Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 29th July. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 1,9,21 and 22. There was no winner of the 3,000 Jackpot.
