KILFLYNN VINTAGE WEEKEND 2025
Kilflynn is all set for the annual Kilflynn Vintage Weekend which takes place from Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June. There is a fantastic weekend in store for all ages.
The weekend’s events kick off at 7pm on Saturday evening where the Vintage Tractor Run will depart the village. On return their will be a barbeque in the village to kick off the weekend.
The Vintage Car and Honda 50 Run will depart the village at 11am Sunday morning. At 12 noon the official opening of the field will take place and the day’s events will get underway. There will be a wide variety of vintage displays including cars, tractors, motorbikes, stationary engines, steam engines, threshers, forge and blacksmith demonstrations as well as much more.
Sunday is very much a family day out with entertainment for all ages provided. For the younger generations there will be bouncing castles, face painting, novelty games and a puppet show! For the adults there will be live music and entertainment throughout the day by “The Singing Jarvey”, as well as some great displays of machinery from by-gone-days.
The Kilflynn Vintage Club greatly appreciates the support that the local community and surrounding areas give us each year. It is because of this support that the club has thrived over the last 29 years. With the help of your support the club has raised funds for numerous different charities and local groups. We hope to see you all in Kilflynn from June 14th -15th for what will be a fantastic weekend of celebrations!

Crotta Senior hurlers will commence their Garvey’s SuperValu County Senior Hurling Championship on Sunday 14th June against St. Brendan’s Ardfert at 2.00p.m in Austin Stacks Park, Tralee. Best wishes to the players and their management.

The Crotta U17’s hurlers took part in the Elevens Of Kerry Tournament on Monday May 19th and Wednesday 21st May at The Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence, Currans. On night one the lads had wins over Abbeydorney, Kenmare, and Causeway. These results put the team into the cup group for night 2. Night 2 was finals night for the Cup, Shield and Plate. With wins over Ballyheigue (3-06 to 1-06) and Ballyduff (1-04 to 1-02) the lads topped their group. Kerry coaching officer Joe Costello, Paudie Dineen and tournament sponsor James Ryall of Ryall Travel presented the Cup to Crotta captain Cian O’Connor. Ryall Travel also very kindly provided the Crotta team with specially designed tournament jerseys. Crotta Panel: Adam Corkery, Ryan Hurley, Aidan Beirne, John Donavan, Cian O’Connor, Cillian Hurley, Alex Relihan, Fionn Hannon, Ewan Somers, Stephen Shanahan, Matt Cronin, James Doody Paddy Cronin, Darren McElligott and Tadgh Doran. OLD CEMETERY KILFLYNN – PRAYER EVENING
We will have a remembrance evening for all those buried in the Old Cemetery in Kilflynn, on Monday 16th June at 7.00 p.m. Joining us will be Fr. Jerry Keane and Rev. Jim Stephens. This gathering will give everybody the opportunity, if they so wish, to contribute to the upkeep of the cemetery. There will be light refreshments afterwards in St. Columba’s Centre.
In the event of unsuitable weather conditions, the ceremony will be held indoors.

Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 9th June, The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 4,6,9 and 23. There was no winner of the 2,700 Jackpot.
