kilflynn village cleanup 2023

Kilflynn is all set for the Kilflynn city running group Stacks Mountain half marathon and 10k on Saturday 1st April 2023.  The Kilflynn city running group are delighted to have green coat renewables as their title sponsor for the inaugural event, with their help and the addition of our long standing partners L.A Fitness and Parker’s Pub & Beer Garden. Without their help and backing the group and event would not even have gotten of the planning paper. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the start line on April 1st  in aid of the amazing charity Bru Columbanus.
Race number collection takes place at Parker’s Pub.
Registration/Collection is open on Saturday morning from 8am to 9:30am.
The start and finish line are in Kilflynn Village outside Parker’s Pub.
A race briefing for both races will take place 10 mins before the start time.
The Stacks Half Marathon starts at 10 am.
The 10k race starts at 11am.
The race after party will take place from 7pm at Parker’s Pub and Beer Garden.
Best wish to the hard-working committee and their volunteers also to the runners/walkers taking part in inaugural event.  For further information check out

On Saturday April 15th at 10:00am we’ll be starting our Kilflynn clean-up in the village as part of the KWD Recycling County clean-up day. It is fantastic to give a good “spring-clean” to our beautiful village and surrounding area in preparation for the busy summer months. The more people that turn up, the easier the job is for everyone. We pass through our village on a daily basis, between work, school runs, walking, running, etc! Let’s now show Kilflynn some TLC by coming out and cleaning it up. As always Kilflynn Community Together greatly appreciates your support. We will be providing bags, some gloves, and some pickers.

Offaly 0-23  Kerry 0-19
It was a case of glass half full and half empty for the Kingdom as, despite their most impressive performance of the season to date, they still slipped to defeat to Offaly in the Division 2A semi-final at Glenisk O’Connor Park, Offaly on Saturday 25thMarch. The victors led by 0-13 to 0-10. The Crotta Hurling club was represented by Sean Weir (Corner back) Jodan Conway (Corner forward) (0-02) And Cillian Trant came on as a sub.  Still with the Joe McDonagh Cup just two weeks down the tracks there was much to be encouraged by with Stephen Molumphy’s outfit showing much more like the side we became familiar with last year. Best wishes to the Kerry players and their management.
