CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS
Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 10th February, The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 1,2,11 and 24. There was no winner of the 5,800 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Tom Allen, Clogher Drive, Lixnaw, Brendan Clifford, Milltown, Abbeydorney and Kathleen Shanahan, Keel, Lixnaw. The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 17th February at 10.30p.m with a €5,900 Jackpot.

STACK’S MOUNTAIN HALF MARATHON & 10KM
Great news for Crotta and indeed Kilflynn community with the news that Kilflynn City Running Club are once again to host the Stack’s Mountain Half Marathon & 10km on 26th April 2025.
The organisers have very kindly chosen Kilflynn National School, Crotta GAA and Abbeykilix Camogie Club as the beneficiaries of the funds raised by this event.
As a club we would strongly encourage all our players and their families to participate on the 26th April and help raise much helpful funding for the schools and clubs as-well as benefiting your own health and wellbeing in the process.
Kilflynn City Running group have a fabulous tradition of hosting & organising community events and have to date raised over €53K for various charities.
The group have always delivered a very enjoyable and family orientated day out for all.
Participants can take part in the 21km (Must Be Aged 18+) or the 10km (Must Be Aged 15+). You can run, walk or jog in the 10k event. The 21k is for runners only.
Each participant will receive their event medal & T-Shirt with food and refreshments also being provided in the village on the day.
Once again, we would strongly encourage everybody to get out and about and join in to help make this a memorable and successful event for our community.

CROTTA GAA NEWS
Congratulations and well done Clanmaurice and Kerry Camogie player Amy O’Sullivan, Crotta and her Mary Immaculate College Limerick team mates who captured the Electric Ireland Purcell Cup with a 1-17 to to 2-12 victory over University of Limerick at the University of Galway Connacht GAA AirDome in Bekan, Mayo on Sunday 9th February. Amy played a star role at corner forward on the victorious team.
The Kerry senior hurlers recorder a victory in the Allianz Hurling League Division 2, Round 3 at Austin Stack’s Park, Tralee against Derry on Sunday 9th February on the final score .Kerry 5-20 to Derry 1-12
The Crotta Hurling Club was represented by Sean McGrath (wing back), Rory McGrath (Midfield) 0-03 and Shane Nolan (full forward) 0-02 . Next up for Kerry is a trip to Donegal
Congratulations and well done to Crotta ladies Aoife Behan, Jackie Hogan and Amy O’Sullivan who received their Munster club Intermediate and All Ireland medals at the Clanmaurice Camogie Club social on Saturday night 1st February at the Meadowlands Hotel Tralee.
Congratulations and well done to Crotta Hurler and St Senan’s Footballer Cillian Trant who made his Kerry Senior Football League debut playing at wing forward against Donegal in the National League div 1 tie. Final Score Kerry 1-18 to Donegal 0-23 at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney on Sunday 9th February. Cillian acquitted himself very well, we wish Cillian and the Kerry Squad the very best for 2025. Next up is a home game against Dublin on Saturday night 15th February at 7.30p.m. The Kerry Senior ladies footballers had a 2-10 to 0-07 victory over Kildare at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney on Sunday 9th February. Niamh Quinn, Crotta came in the second half for the home side. Kerry are away to Tyrone on Sunday 23rd February.
