The Crotta GAA club has lost another loyal supporter with the death of Pats Egan, of Stack’s Villas, Tralee and formerly Garrynagore, Lixnaw.
Throughout the 50s and early 60s the Garrynagore man gave unwavering support to the club mostly as a junior player but always willing to fill a seniorJersey when needed. He provided transport to Crotta teams in those days when transport was scarce. ln later.years Pat’s final contribution to the G. A. A was as groundsman at the Austin Stack Park in Tralee. Pat’s second love was ploughing, he was a regular competitor at ploughing matches throughout the county. He won the youths ploughing championship in 1952 and 53 and won the senior a couple of years later Pat’s love of ploughing remained with him throughout his life.
On behalf of the Crotta GAA club we offer our sympathies to Pat’s Family, relatives, and many friends. May his soul rest in peace.
