CROTTA GAA LOTTO RESULTS

Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw on Monday 16th August. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 7,20, 22 and 32.
There was no winner of the 4,800 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw:

COUNTY TITLE FOR THE PARISH

Congratulations and well done to the Abbeydorney/Kilflynn U11 hurlers who captured the Community Games County Title on Monday evening 16th August. The young hurlers overcame a strong and spirited Kenmare/Kilgarvan in the Final played at Lewis Road. Special mention to Crotta lads Daniel Diggins, Eoin Beire, Bobby & Charlie Ryan who played their part and represented their club and community fantastically

WEEKEND MASSES – we will operate on a first come basis. There will be no booking. Sunday obligation will continue to be suspended for some time yet. As before, people can come to Mass on a weekday rather than a Sunday. Some of the oldest among us may return to Mass because they are now fully vaccinated. Funerals remain private family events and the maximum number that may attend a funeral is 50 people, regardless of the size of the church. Weddings The maximum number of people that may attend a wedding is 50 people, regardless of the size of the church. Baptisms already booked may go ahead. Numbers attending with immediate family members only, but not more than ten. . In Abbeydorney the number is 100 made up ‘2 pods of 50’ while Kilflynn can accommodate up to 70. Face coverings/face masks must be worn. Social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.

KERRY SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Crotta 0-14 Abbeydorney 1-11
Three late points by Shane Nolan, on Saturday 14th August in Austin Stacks Park was enough to salvage a late draw for Crotta, and help them to top the table in Group 3. The influential Crotta Captain pulling his side back from the brink, as they were left chase Abbeydorney for most of the afternoon.
A first half goal by Michael Slattery had Abbeydorney 1-9 to 0-5 up at the half time interval, but a resurgence from Crotta in the second half, was enough to leave them top of Group 3, by score difference.

RADIO MARIA

is an Irish Catholic Radio station that has grown in strength and popularity in recent years. It broadcasts Mass, Rosary, Divine Mercy Hour etc daily. It has many interesting programs. Many people tune in to pray with them. The easiest way to tune in is via the television, Saorview channel 210, (if you go forward one channel from RTE1 you get RTE2, if you go back one from RTE1 you get Radio Maria).
