CHRISTMAS CEREMONIES
The following Christmas Ceremonies will take place at St. Mary Church, Kilflynn:
Friday 24th December: Vigil Mass – Christmas Eve at 8.00 p.m.,
Saturday 25th December – Christmas Day at 9.30 a.m.
Christmas Masses: I am sure most people are happy that the Government announcement on Friday evening last did not include time restrictions on churches at this time. Does that mean the numbers attending Mass this Christmas in our parish will be very big! My feeling is that many people, especially with young children, will be hesitant about attending, as they have been, generally, in recent months. To ensure that the situation at the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses is satisfactory, I appeal to all who plan to attend Mass, to be in the church about 10 minutes before start time. You might, kindly, inform family members at home for Christmas and those who may not see this newsletter. Fr. Denis O’Mahony

This year the Murphy family have put up the Christmas lights in memory of their father Michael who passed away in June 2021, again to try and raise funds for the palliative care unit, Noreen and The Murphy Family, would greatly appreciate any amount you can give to the collection box on the fence outside their house, all monies raised will go directly to the palliative care unit. CAMOGIE
Clanmaurice overcame the loss of a slew of players that forced them to line out with just 14 players throughout to defeat Athleague by 1-11 to 0-6 at Fr McNamara Park in Ennis in the AIB All-Ireland junior A club camogie semi-final on Saturday 18th December.
They will cross swords with Raharney in the decider on January 8 after the Westmeath champions chiseled out a hard-earned verdict over Glen by 0-9 to 1-4 at the GAA National Development Centre in Abbotstown. Well done to local Clanmaurice players and their management, especially the Crotta duo of Aoife Behan (0-01) and Jackie Hogan (0-1free)
