St Teresa’s Kilflynn is a co-educational school that is committed to ensuring that it’s motto – Ag Fás, Ag Foghlaim, Ag Forbairt: Growing, Learning, Developing is a living, daily reality for all its pupils. The school boasts a number of excellent facilities such as interactive whiteboards, a large yard, a garden, an astro turf pitch, a hall, a computer room and class iPads, all of which have further enhanced the school’s high standard of education.
The school facilitates early drop-off from 8.40am. ‘Curious Minds’ operates in the school with a breakfast club from 7am to 9am and an after-school club from 1:40pm-6pm.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS
Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 1st December, The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 1,11,13 and 26. There was no winner of the 5,200 Jackpot.

Kilflynn Baby And Toddler Group meet every Thursday mornings from 10am until 11:30am in the Community Centre in Kilflynn. All are welcome. This group is open to Parents, Grandparents, Guardians and Carers of babies and toddlers up to 4 years old. It’s a great way to meet other parents in your area. So come along for a warm welcome, chats and play. refreshments served.

The death has occurred of Irene [Ellen] Slattery(née O’Sullivan)Laccamore, Kilflynn, and late of Ballyduff, on Tuesday 28th October 2025 Irene’s remains were Reposed at McElligott’s Funeral Home,Tralee on Thursday evening. Irene’s funeral cortège arrived at St Mary’s Church, Kilflynn on Friday morning where the Requiem Mass for Irene was celebrated at 11.00AM by Fr. Jerry Keane, Fr. Willie Keane and Deacon Francis White, followed by interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Kilflynn. . On behalf of the community, we offer our sincere sympathy to her husband Maurice, her sons Joe and Eamon, grandchildren Conor, Emma and Holly, daughters-in-law Helen and Jennifer, brother Michael, sister Mary, extended family, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her loving daughter Elma, sister Kathleen and niece Norma.
May Irene Rest in Peace.
CROTTA GAA
The North Kerry Hurling Board Annual Awards presentation took place on Friday, 28 November.
Players of the Final Awards were presented for the North Kerry underage and adult Championship Finals from 2025.
Congratulations and well done to our hurler Stephen Shanahan who received the Under 16 ‘A’ Championship player of the final award from Paudie Dineen for his outstanding performance and finished top scorer against Ballyheigue in the final.
The 2025 Annual Hall of Fame Award was presented to former Kerry hurler and Sports Editor of The Kerryman newspaper John Barry [Austin Stacks].
The North Kerry Under 21 Hurling Championship Final [Paddy Kelly Memorial Cup] played before a large crowd in ideal weather conditions at the Sports field, Dromakee, Kilflynn on Saturday 29th November with victory going to the visitors on the final score Ballyduff 0-21 Crotta O’Neills 1-16, the home side led at the interval break by 0-09 to 0-08. The Crotta team lined out as follows Adam Corkery, Cillian Hurley, Donnacha Sayers, Thomas Breen, John Donovane, Rory Mahony, Dara Nolan, Oisin Heaton, Evan O’Sullivan, Alex Relihan, Sean McElligott, Ryan Hurley, Mark Sheehan (Capt) Ryan Houilhan and Jack Ryan. Subs Diarmuid O’Driscoll, Cian O’Connor, Cillian Hussey and Neil Galvin. Congratulations to Ballyduff and well done the Crotta players.

There will be a screening of the film documentary ‘100 years of North Kerry Hurling’ on this Wednesday, 3rd December at Ballyroe Lodge Hotel.
