KILFLYNN VINTAGE WEEKEND
The annual Kilflynn Vintage Weekend takes place from June 13th-14th.There is a fantastic weekend of celebrations in store as the club celebrates it’s 30th anniversary since it’s inaugural rally in 1996.
The weekend’s events will kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening when the Vintage Tractor Run will depart the village, with registration from 5:30.
The Vintage Car and Honda 50 Run will depart the village at 11 a.m. Sunday morning, with registration from 10 a.m. At 12 noon the official opening and blessing of the field will take place, and the day’s events will get underway.
It’s a family day out with entertainment for all ages with vintage and working displays as well as live music with ‘The Singing Jarvey’ and kids’ entertainment throughout the day! We look forward to celebrating our special birthday with everyone throughout the weekend!

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS
Parker’s Pub in Kilflynn hosted the Crotta Hurling Club’s weekly lotto draw on Monday 1st June. The four numbers drawn from the drum by the independent observer, Sonny Egan, Garrynagore, Lixnaw were 16, 31, 21, and 30. No one won the €7,800 Jackpot.

CROTTA GAA
It certainly was a day of mixed fortunes for the Kingdom’s squads at Croke Park on Saturday 30th May, featuring a brilliant championship comeback win but also a tough final defeat.
The Kerry U-20 footballers clinched the All-Ireland title in stunning fashion, defeating Tyrone, Managed by Tomás Ó Sé, the team overcame a disastrous first-quarter deficit (trailing by as much as 1-07 to 0-02 to finish incredibly strong, eventually winning with a solid (0-21 to 1-10 scoreline.
Congratulations lads, especially the North Kerry Players.
In the curtain-raiser at Croke Park, the Kerry senior hurlers lost the Christy Ring Cup Final. Despite a brave effort, they fell short against a determined Derry side, losing out 3-24 to 3-19. Hard luck lads, especially the Crotta players Sean McGrath (Full Back) and Jordan Conway, who came on as a sub.
The Kerry U15 hurlers played Meath on Saturday 30th May in the latest round of the John Doyle Tournament in Rathdowney Co Laois.

Kerry GAA Senior & U16 Poc Fada took place at Kerry Head on Monday June 1st.
Adam O’Sullivan (Senior) and Darren McElligott (U16) represented the Crotta Hurling Club.

Congratulations to the Abbeykillix Under-14 Camogie team, who were crowned Under-14 Limerick League Thomond Cup Champions on Wednesday evening 27th May after an epic encounter with Feenagh/Kilmeedy Camogie on a final score of 2-04 to 1-04 In Feenagh GAA,
From the opening whistle to the final seconds, this game had everything—passion, determination, skill, and incredible heart. The girls showed tremendous character throughout, battling for every ball and never giving up in a thrilling contest.
This is a fantastic achievement for the team, management, and everyone involved. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment have been rewarded with a truly memorable success.

The Abbeydorney / Kilflynn Active Retired Group had a wonderful day out in Limerick City on Wednesday 27th May. Highlights such as a visit to Thomond Park, home of Munster Rugby, and time spent exploring the fascinating collections at The Hunt Museum made for a very enjoyable and memorable trip. Day trips like these are a great opportunity for socialising, sightseeing, and discovering more of Ireland’s rich sporting and cultural heritage.
