Use of Postbox in Abbeydorney Church
Thanks to the parishioners who have dropped in the Parish envelopes and Priest’s Income over the past weeks.Despite the fact that the greater part of 2020 was different from past years, parishioners continued to support their parish and me, your priest, financially. Most parishes will probably experience a sizeable loss in parish income because of the fact that churches were closed for a length of time and parishioners gave envelopes, when it was possible to do so, this was not true of the money that would be given in the Offertory collection at a particular Mass.
I would like to thank those, who responded to the letter that I sent to a number of parishioners who had not been getting the annual box of envelopes. Some asked to give them a box, others did not wish to receive one. As I have done many times before, I invite those who have not being getting a box of envelopes to consider receiving (Informing me Parish Office that you would like to do as many other parishioners are doing.)
I sincerely thank those who have given a total annual contribution of €250 or more (combination of payment to parish and to priest)which allows the parish to claim a very significant tax refund.
