After the terrible weather the sunshine graced us on today for the most part which really added to the event. Over 50 kids graced the hallowed sod of Dromakee, a sight that would warm the heart of all of us hurling mad Gaels. The skill levels on display this morning proves that there is still a place for the ground stroke in the modern game.
We hope you all enjoy the tournament. Huge thanks to all the players, mentors and parents. Thanks also to club secretaries for all their help with organising the tournament. Thanks to all our referees Donnacha Buttimer and John Ross who let the game flow which added to the overall enjoyment.
Thanks to all who helped with the catering Stella Keane, Brenda Hannon and Brenda McElligott as well as all parents for making sandwiches and cakes etc. Your contribution is very much appreciated.
Thanks to Sonny Egan and Paul Shanahan for organising the event and ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Thanks to Crotta GAA and Jason Nolan for having the pitch in tip top condition. Finally, thanks to the Hayes family for the continued and much valuable sponsorship of the tournament. Till next year keep her lit & keep hurling
