On Saturday 6th May all roads lead to Killarney for the 2023 All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Final at the Gleneagle INEC Arena.  WE would like to wish to the Crotta O’Neills Instrumental Music Group of Conor Brennan, Thomas Breen, Sarah Murphy, Ellen Trant and Grace Hannon Linnane, their music mentor Aoife Murphy and Club Scor office Tom Breen the very best of luck in the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Ceol Uirlise Final.   Best wishes also to our fellow Kerry   competitors Glenflesk-Ballad Group, Spa-Set Dancing and Tralee Parnells Quiz team, and all other competitors   participating on Saturday.

KERRY MINOR LADIES

Congratulations and well done to the Kerry camogie Minor team on reaching the All-Ireland Minor C final after their incredible victory against Wicklow! In Moneygall, Co Tipperary on Sunday 30th April, Especially Rosin Quinn, Crotta who received the player of the match, with her excellent display at full back. The Kerry team showed incredible skill and determination on the field, we can’t wait to see them face off against Down in the final.

Scór na bPaistí

The Scór na bPaistí county final took place on Saturday 29th April in Glenbeigh/Glencar Sports Hall.
The quiz was held in the Intermediate school Killorglin. Well done to the @crotta.gaa competitors who represented the club, every single one of them, made their club, school and parents proud. The Crotta club was represented by was Jude Doyle, Aine Abeyta, Jennifer Casey and Sarah O’Drscoll in the quiz, with Ide Hussey in the Solo Singing, Caoimhe Sheehy in Solo Dancing and Laura Breen, Leah, Orlaith Brennan, Ide Hussey and Jennifer Casey in the Ballad Group.
Thanks to all the above-mentioned kids, who worked very hard over the past several weeks to bring all the pieces together – Thanks are due also to the mentors – John O’Flaherty Quiz, Tina Enright Ballad Group, Nora Falvey principal of St. Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn, the parents and the Club Scor office Tom Breen.

CLOTHING DRIVE

St. Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn are holding a clothing recycling drive fundraising.
Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, shoes, bed linen, curtains, towels, bags, belts and soft toys. Please Donate only clean dry and rewardable clothing as we cannot accept wet, dirty or damaged clothes or goods. No Duvets. Drop your bags to the Crotta Hurling Club house, Dromakee, Kilflynn is extended to Monday 15th May between the following hours 10.00a.m to 8.00p.m. 7 days a week. Thank you for your support and taking the time and effort to support our fundraising drive.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday 1st May at Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn.
The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 6,13,20 and 26. There was no winner of the 3,900 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw:  Ger McCarthy, Lissanearla, Abbeydorney, Hannah Her Castleisland and Timothy Quilter, Mouncoal, Listowel.
The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn. on Monday 1st May at 10.30p.m with a €4,000 Jackpot.

CROTTA U-05s

The Crotta U5 hurling returned on Sunday afternoon 30th April at the sports field Dromakee, Kilflynn. Very enjoyable session with happy kiddies enjoying the sunshine and socialising with their newfound buddies. Training continues each Sunday 1:15 – 2pm in Dromakee. Anybody who would like to be added to text service or wants more information please message Paul Shanahan on 0879715781. Hurleys and helmets are provided so just bring the kids along and give it a go.

County League Senior result : Lixnaw 1.11 Crotta 1.15 played in Lixnaw on Friday 28th April .
