first communion kilflynn 2023

Congratulations to the 13 boys and girls from St. Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn who received the sacrament of First Communion in St Mary’s Church, Kilflynn on Saturday 6th May. The celebrant at the edifying ceremony was Fr. Denis O’Mahony, Abbeydorney P.P.
It was an extremely well-prepared ceremony. The children did themselves, their families and their school proud by the way they participated in the ceremony. The gratitude of all goes to their teacher Mrs Tina O’Connell and Fr. Denis O‘Mahony, Mrs Nora Falvey (Principal), and the pupil’s parents for all the work and effort they put into the ceremony and its preparation and who contributed to the First Communion Mass which will have a lasting memory for the 13 children. A special word of thanks to Fergus O’Sullivan, pianist, who accompanied by Mrs. O Connell’s and the school choir. Their beautiful music and singing enriched the ceremony. Each child participated in some way in the ceremony and afterwards all the camera happy relatives that took so many photos for the family album.
The children who received their Communion/blessing were Fionn Cashell, Aoife McElligott, Faye Quirke, Saoirse Russell, Sean Og Hannon, Grace McGuckin, Oisin Doyle, Rosin Diggins, Ruby McAuliffe, Niamh Sheehy, Lochlan Barry, Keeva Keliher and Fionn O’Donoghue.
