CROTTA GAA
A huge congratulations to our player Daniel Diggins, who helped Kerry U-15 footballers claim the Musco Lighting Adam Mangan (Kilclonfert) Cup with a fantastic victory in the All-Ireland football Final in Ballyvourney, Co. Cork on Saturday 1st August
Kerry produced a superb team performance to defeat their opponents on a scoreline of 5-14 to 3-3, bringing the cup back to the Kingdom.
This is a tremendous achievement for these young players, their teammates, coaches, families and everyone involved with Kerry and Na Gaeil where Daniel plays his club football and his hurling with Crotta. We are incredibly proud to see our club player so well represented on the national stage.
Well done, lads – a brilliant reward for all your hard work and dedication. Enjoy the celebrations!
Congratulations and well done to the Abbeydorney Senior hurlers who produced a performance for the ages when they outplayed a youthful St Brendan’s side to complete three in a row Kerry Senior Hurling Championship titles in Sunday’s one-sided decider at Austin Stack Park.
Abbeydorney 3-16 St Brendan’s 1-12
Congratulations to Ballyduff minor hurlers who were crowned county champions after defeating Ballyheigue on a score line of 2-11 to 0-8 as a curtain raiser to the Senior final.
In 2001, Kilmoyley, managed by John Myler, bridged a 30-year gap when they captured the County Senior Hurling Championship. A dramatic last-minute point from Ollie Diggin dethroned reigning county champions Ballyheigue and secured a famous victory. The panel of players from those remarkable four championship-winning years was introduced at half-time during the County Senior Hurling Championship Final on Sunday afternoon.
It wasn’t Kerry’s day in The TG4 2026 All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship Final on Sunday, 2nd August in Croke Park when they were
defeated by Galway on the scoreline 2-07 to 0-12, but they should be very proud of reaching an All-Ireland Final and the hard work it takes all year.
We are also very proud of our own Niamh Quinn, Crotta, her Kerry teammates, and Wayne Murphy, strength and conditioning coach, who gave us a remarkable year.
