THE ABBEYDORNEY/KILFLYNN ACTIVE RETIRED GROUP

The Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Active Retired Group meeting on Wednesday 29th July, see you all in the Abbeydorney Parish Hall at 10.30am. This will be our last day to meet, as the Active Retired group will take a summer break for the month of August. CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

Herbert’s Bar in Kilflynn hosted the Crotta Hurling Club’s weekly lotto draw on Monday 27th July. The four numbers drawn from the drum by the independent observer,    Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw    were 5, 17, 19, and 29. No one won the €8,600 Jackpot.
Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw:
Kenneth Nolan, Clounafineela,Kilflynn,Aisling Doran, Rathea, Listowel and Ruari Weir, Castletown, Kilflynn
The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday, 3rd August at 10:30 p.m. with an €8,700 jackpot.

Aisling Kelly, Asdee (Seated Center) on her hen party with her family and friends at Parker’s Pub & Venue, Kilflynn . On Sunday afternoon on their way home from Killarney. Best wish the bride to be Aisling and Goom to be Ben Dolphin who are getting married in September 22nd in Corfu.

Kerry U15 Development Team welcomed Kilkenny to the Crotta Gaa sports field, Dromakee, on Saturday morning 25th July, for the John Doyle Cup Quarter-Final.
A strong team performance secured a fine win for the hosts with a score of . Jack Kelliher represented the club at full back. Well done to Jack and his Kerry teammates.
Kerry U15 Development Team welcomed Kilkenny to Crotta Gaa sports field, Dromakee, on Saturday morning 25th July in the Quarter-final of the John Doyle Cup.
A strong team performance saw the hosts secure a fine win on the scoreline of 6-12 to 3-07.
Jack Kelliher represented the Crotta club well at full back. Well done to Jack and his Kerry teammates and their mentors.
The Kerry U14 Development squad took on Limerick and West Cork in the Centre of Excellence, Currans on Saturday morning, 25th July. They lost to a strong Limerick outfit in their first game but bounced back to secure a fine win against West Cork.
Brian Cronin, Darragh Diggins, Edward Nolan and Dean McElligott represented the club.

We wish Niamh Quinn, Crotta and her Kerry teammates, and Wayne Murphy, strength and conditioning coach,  in The 2026 All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship Final on Sunday 2nd August, against Galway in Croke Park @ 4:15pm
Mayo ended a 75-year wait for the county’s fourth All-Ireland Senior Football title with a 1-20 to 1-17 victory over Kerry in a captivating and intense final that went down to the wire at a raucous Croke Park In front of a sold-out 82,300 crowd on Sunday 26th July. The area was well represented at the match. Thanks to Cillain Trant, his Kerry teammates, and their mentors  for giving us an amazing season. Congratulations to the Mayo players, mentors and Supporters.
