Kerry U 15 Camogie Blitz winners 2023

!!!! ALL IRELAND CHAMPIONS!!!!

Congratulations to the Kerry U15 camogie players and Management on a wonderful achievement on winning the National U-15 Camogie Blitz in Raharney Westmeath under very warm weather on Saturday 9th September, in particular congratulations to Abbeykilix Camogie Club Who’s Tally of all Ireland medals in the club this year between u14 and u15 is 9. Not bad for a club only 4 years in the running!!! Congrats to Muireann, Katie, Róisín, Grainne and Emily and all their team and management including Tom Daughton. The girls had their first win against Offaly, drew against Dublin. Won again in their match against Meath and Westmeath. In the final they met Offaly and secured the win on the score of  Kerry 0-5 to Offaly 0-1
The victorious team and their management with the cup received a warm homecoming in Kilflynn village on Saturday evening.

IRISH DERBY FINAL NIGHT WINNER

Congratulations to members of the Swedish House Party Syndicate Shane Herbert,  Jackie Hagerty, Ian O’Carroll and Dan Foley and their delighted young trainer Jack Kennelly, whose greyhound Sogna in Grande wins in Shelbourne park on Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby Final night on Saturday 2nd September.

SPLIT THE BUCKET

The next draw for the Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” will take place Saturday, 30th September in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn @ 10:00pm. Get your entries in (as many as you like) before Saturday night 30th September! It could be your lucky Night! We have buckets at various businesses around Kilflynn: Parkers Pub, Herbert’s Bar and Zam Zam Kebab. The concept of the draw is simple, simply place your €2 into the envelope at the venue, write your name and phone on the envelope and you could possibly ‘split the bucket!’

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday night 11th  September at Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 4,9,12 and 28. There was no winner of the 5,800 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Mary and Mairead Long, Abbeydorney, Cyril Nolan, Gortclohy, Kilflynn and   Michelle O’Donoghue, Azuqueca de Henares, Guadalajara, Spain and Garrynagore, Lixnaw.  The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday 18th  September at 10.30p.m with a €5,900 Jackpot.
