The Parish, a hilarious comedy by Cork’s Hub Cap Productions is coming to Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Friday 10th December at 8.00p.m in aid of St.Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn.
This brilliantly funny play written and performed from 2 hilarious Cork lads are bringing their award-winning laugh out loud play to Kilflynn. The Parish is a light comedy that runs for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Two actors bring to life characters that can be found in every rural community in the country. It is performed with minimal set and is supported by a rich soundscape. The Parish brings to life a story of conflict and treachery in the community
Tickets will be available from Parker’s Pub and St.Treasa’s National School from Monday 15th November at 15 euro.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw on Monday 8th November. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 1,5, 19 and 22.
There was no winner of the 6,000 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw:

COMMUNITY WALKWAY

The Kilflynn Community Walkway Lights at the sportsfield,Dromakee, Kilflynn will be switched on from Sunday 3rd October. So get your walking shoes ready this Autumn to stay well and healthy. The walkway is open to the public at any time during daylight hours and from 3rd October you can now avail of the floodlighting from 7pm to 9pm 7 days a week. This truly is a fantastic facility for all in our community to avail.

Kilflynn Eucharistic Adoration recommenced on Monday 4th October (7.00 p.m.-8.00 p.m.)
Kilflynn Altar Society – A short meeting will be held after 7.30 p.m. Mass on Monday 1 st in Kilflynn Church with a view to setting up a new rota for cleaning the church. All help welcome.
Covid-19 Update: Religious services and weddings can proceed without capacity limits but with all other protective measures remaining in place as and from October 22nd, 2021. People attending religious services in our church must wear face masks, sanitise their hands on entry and exit from the church and maintain adequate social distancing whenever appropriate. Please continue to follow all of the public health guidance in relation to Covid-19 so as to reduce the spread of the virus.

HURLING RESULTS

Crotta U15’s we’re in action on Friday evening 5th November at Abbeydorney on finals night of the Tom Healy Tournament. Due to receiving a walkover from Ballyduff in the Semi-final the lads took on Ardfert in the Cup final where they were narrowly defeated on a scoreline of Ardfert 4-04 to Crotta 2-05. This meant the lads would now face Kilmoyley in the Shield Final. Despite their spirited efforts Kilmoyley prevailed with the scoreboard reading Kilmoyley 3-06 to 1-05.
Congratulations to Ardfert and Kilmoyley on their victories. Huge thank to Abbeydorney GAA who hosted a fantastic Tournament once again over the past three Fridays. Well done everybody.
Crotta U-21 Hurlers booked their place in the North Kerry Hurling Board Final with a 4-22 to 1-05 over a  St. Brendan’s Hurling Club side at The Sportsfield, Dromakee on Saturday 6th November. The home side led by 0-14 to 0-03 at halftime. Crotta now meet Tralee Parnell’s in the final.
Crotta Senior Hurlers defeated Ballyduff 1-31 to 4-13 after extra time and advanced to the North Kerry Senior Championship Semi Final at The Sportsfield, Dromakee on Sunday 7th November. Crotta meet Kilmoyley in the Semi Final on Sunday 14th November at 2.00p.m in Lerrig.  Well done lads

KILFLYNN RUNNING GROUP

Training for the Couch to 5km and 10 km commenced in the Community walkway at the Sportsfield, Dromakee,Kilflynn on Sunday morning 3rd October at 10.00a.m
The next training session will be on Wednesday at 7.00p.m and every Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings at 7p.m from October on till St. Stephen’s Day where we will run our 5 km and 10 km. Only 23 more sessions till St. Stephens day. There will be a donation of €2 per night per person. This money will go to the Kerry cancer support group for their bus services everyone welcome

TAEKWON DO

The Kilflynn School of TaeKwon-Do returns on Wednesday, October 6th, in the St. Columbus Centre, Kilflynn.
