RETURN TO PUBLIC MASS
To facilitate parishioners who wish to attend Massin the Parish, a reservation system will be in place for all weekend Masses in the parish. Please contact the Parish Office (066 4018996 during office hours) to indicate the Mass you would wish to attend. Sunday obligation will continue to be suspended for some time yet. As before, people can come to Mass on a weekday rather than a Sunday. Some of the oldest among us may return to Mass because they are now fully vaccinated. Wonderful that they can be with us again, they are welcome! Funerals remain private family events and the maximum number that may attend a funeral is 50 people, regardless of the size of the church. Weddings The maximum number of people that may attend a wedding is 50 people, regardless of the size of the church. Baptisms may take place but the numbers attending should be kept small and limited to the immediate family members only. First Communion & Confirmation will not take place this month or in June. Outdoor public worship is not permitted at the present time in line with Government restrictions on organized outdoor gatherings. Choir or congregational singing is not permitted at the present time. Solo singing with an accompanist is permitted in accordance with the HSE/HPSC Face coverings/face masks must be worn. Social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.

St. Treasa’s National School, Kilflynn are holding a clothing recycling drive fundraising.
Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, shoes, bed linen, curtains towels, bags, belts and soft toys. Please Donate only clean dry and rewardable clothing as we cannot accept wet, dirty or damaged clothes or goods. No Duvets. Drop your bags to the Crotta Hurling Club house, Dromakee, Kilflynn from Thursday 22nd April to Sunday 16th May between the following hours 8.00a.m to 10.00p.m. 7 days a week. CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS.
Due to current Covid-19 guidelines, The Crotta sportsfield, Dromakee, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw on Tuesday 11th May. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the Independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 4,10,19 and 28.
There was no winner of the 3,400 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw:

Massive congrats to the Kerry Senior Hurlers who got their season off on a winning note with a victory over Down, at Austin Stack’s Park, Tralee on Sunday 9th May.
Kerry trailed the visitors 0-11 to 0-9 at the interval. The Crotta hurling club was well represented by Tomas O’Connor (Fullback), Barry Mahony (Centre back) (0-01), Shane Nolan (Midfield) (1-6, 3 ’65s, 2 fs), and Donal Hunt came as a sub and scored (0-01). Well done lads. Speedy recovery to Tomas who picked up an injury in the 24 min. Kerry now faces Offaly in Tullamore next weekend

CROTTA U-06 TO U-09
Training for boys & girls (Age Groups U6 – U9) continued this morning Sunday 9th May from 11am – 12pm at Crotta Sportfield Dromakee. It was fantastic to see all the children back playing with the friends and enjoying their sport. In particular it was heart-warming to see all the new kids trying out the wonderful game of hurling for the first time. We look forward to seeing them all again next Sunday from 11 to 12 noon and remember everybody is always welcome to come along to any training time to join in the fun. Tar ar agus téigh le do chaired

The people of Kilflynn and the wider community were greatly saddened recently by the deaths of much-respected members of the local community.
The death has occurred of Kathleen (Kitty) McCarthy (née O’Sullivan)
Knockbrack, Kilflynn, on Friday 12th March in accordance with current restrictions, a private family funeral took for Kathleen (Kitty) on Monday (March 15th) in St. Mary’s Church, Kilflynn with the Requiem Mass celebrated at 11.00am by Fr. Denis O’Mahony followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Kilflynn.

CROTTA CLUB MEMBERSHIP 2021
The Closing date for Club Membership subscription has been confirmed for 31st May 2021. It would be important to ensure prior to players returning to GAA activity, that they are registered on the New Foireann System and can be accessed via the Club website www.crottagaa.club or type www.foireann.ie into your internet browser.
Members who set up a ‘ReturnToPlay’ account in 2019 to complete the Health Questionnaires can access their Foireann account by using the same login id and password as used last year. If you don’t have a ReturnToPlay account then you can register a new account very easily on Foireann. Go to www.foireann.ie and follow the instructions for New users.
