The original Dolphin 428 was one of the hueys the late Major John O’Sullivan from Tralee flew.
The UH1 Huey Helicopter is now classed as a legacy aircraft – in the same category as aircraft such as the Spitfire, B17 and P51 Mustang.
This UH1H Huey helicopter- now in Listowel, is the only Huey helicopter in Ireland and even though it won’t be flying here – it will represent the service of Irish and Irish/American citizens in the United States.
