There will be a community meeting in St Columbus Centre, Kilflynn on Friday 7th October at 9.00p.m to discuss the ongoing problems with Kilflynn village Sewerage System Failings.

KILFLYNN CITY RUNNING GROUP

Pencil in the date into your diary Wednesday 28th September. We are back with our couch to 5k/10k programme. We will be there to help you achieve your own personal goals be it to walk or run a kilometre non-stop to running a 5k to a 10k. We are there for you, your family and friends. All age groups, abilities are welcome. All we ask is your dedication and a small donation of €2 to a nominated charity partner each time. See you at our base at the Kilflynn community walkway at Crotta Gaa, Dromakee, Kilflynn,  meeting time is 7pm

SPLIT THE BUCKET

The draw for the September Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” took place on Saturday, 24th September in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn. The winner of the September draw was Mike Slattery, Ballyduff. Bucket total was €202 and the split was €101. Congratulations to Mike.
Deirdre Herbert, Kilflynn drew the winning ticket which was bought in Herbert’s Bar. Thank you all for the great response and support. Funds raised will be used for projects that will benefit and improve Kilflynn. Your support is greatly appreciated. The next draw for the Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” will take place Saturday, 29th October in Zam Zam Kebab, Kilflynn @ 10:00pm.
Get your entries in (as many as you like) before Saturday night 29th October! It could be your lucky Night! We have buckets at various businesses around Kilflynn: –Parkers Pub, Herbert’s Bar and Zam Zam Kebab.
The concept of the draw is simple, simply place your €2 into the envelope at the venue, write your name and phone on the envelope and you could possibly ‘split the bucket!’

KILFLYNN TODDLER GROUP

The Kilflynn toddler group meets up every Thursday morning in St. Columbus Centre, Kilflynn at 10.00-11.30 am. Please come yourself and bring some friends, plenty of toys, laughter, chats and finally that hot cuppa with some sweets.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday 26th September at Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn.
The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 14,15,16 and 30.
There was no winner of the 3,300 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw:

GARVEY’S COUNTY SFC GROUP 4 ROUND 3

Congratulations and well done to the Feale Rangers Senior players and their management especially the Crotta players Cillian Trant (Midfield) (0-01), Barry Mahony (Centre forward) (1-02), Rory Mahony came on a sub (52) and Seán Weir who booked their place in the Garvey’s SuperValu County Senior Football Championship quarter final spot against reigning Kerry SFC champions Austin Stacks at Templenoe on Sunday 25th September when the they defeated the home side on a final score line of   Templenoe 0-10 to Feale Rangers 1-14.
The action will get underway with the clash of Feale Rangers and Austin Stacks in Tralee at 5.30pm on the Saturday evening, with the clash of Dr Crokes and Dingle to follow at 7.30pm. in Austin Stack Park on Saturday,8th October.

These notes are for the benefit of everybody in Kilflynn and indeed neighbouring parishes but in particular it is to keep our vast amount of people in other parts of the world informed as to what is going on here at home.
