Crotta played host to a county U9 Go-Games blitz on Saturday morning 29th June, Clubs taking part were Crotta Gaa Ballyduff GAA – Kerry Lixnaw GAA St. Brendan’s Hurling Club with all clubs playing two teams. Small, sided games meant there were lots of touches and space for the players to hurl. Despite the misty weather the standard of hurling by all players was brilliant and shows the great work being put in with their coaches. Thanks to all clubs for the enjoyable morning’s hurling. Thanks to all parents as always for your time and understanding in facilitating these blitzes.

KERRY SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

The two unbeaten sides Ballyduff and Crotta O’Neill’s faced off at  Austin Stack Park on Friday evening 28th June and it was the Duffers that made it three wins from three in group A of the Garvey’s SuperValu Kerry Senior Hurling Championship  with a nine point win with both sides sending out their reserves into battle, 3-14 to 0-14.
Both teams only fielded four regulars with a number of young players being given an opportunity of staking a claim on a starting jersey in the quarter-finals in two weeks’ time. Ballyduff will be happier not only with the win but because a number of players shone while Crotta O’Neills will be happy with the performances of Gavin Parker, Cormac White, Seanie McElligott and Aodhan Behan.  CROTTA O’NEILLS: D Murnane; A Behan , D Kennelly, E Shanahan; M Keane , Dominic Nolan , Dara Nolan, D Quille, S O Donoghue; C White, Declan O Donoghue, S McElligott; R Nolan, S Murnane, G Parker Subs: T Dowling for D Kennelly ( Blood 37), M Sheehan for D Quille ( 40), T Dillon for R Nolan ( 48), E Relihan for C White ( 53), R Houlihan for A Behan ( 53), C Whyte for G Parker ( inj 58) Scorers for Crotta O’Neill’s: S McElligott (1f) and G Parker (0-4each), S Murnane (1f) and Declan O’Donoghue (1f) (0-2 each), C White and R Nolan (0-1 each)

That’s a wrap on our 10th Anniversary – Kilflynn Enchanted Fairy Festival 2024
Thanks to all who came to see us, dance with us and splash in some puddles!
It would not be possible without the help and support from our community, and what a community it is!. It has been spectacular to see the village turn into this enchanted land in the last number of days!
And of course our wider circle of family and friends that lend a hand to volunteering each year. We thank you from the bottom of our fairy wings.
Lastly, a shout out to our hardworking volunteers who will dis-enchant and clean up our village in the next few days.
It is goodbye and fairy wishes from our Kilflynn Enchanted Fairy Festival Committee.
