SYMPATHIES

The death has occurred of Willie Keane of Glenballyma, Kilflynn, peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday 5th August, On behalf of the community, we offer our sincere sympathy to his wife, Mary, daughters Lisa and Kay, sons, Larry and  Adrian and his sister, Mary and his grandchildren, nephews, nieces, son-in-law Mike and also John Joe, daughters-in-law Fiona & Stella, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.   His remains reposed at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee on Monday (7th August) Funeral arrived at St. Mary’s Church, Kilflynn on Tuesday morning, where the Requiem Mass for Willie was celebrated by Fr.  Jerry Keane. Abbeydorney P.P Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kilflynn.
The death of Michael McElligott of Leam, Kilflynn, occurred peacefully on Tuesday 15th August. On behalf of the community, we offer our sincere sympathy to his wife, Patricia, his daughters Helen, Liz, Annette, Marion,  his sons Tom, J.P. and Michael, his brother Mossie, sisters Mary & Bridget, eighteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
His remains reposed at his residence in Leam, Kilflynn on Thursday (17th August) Funeral arrived at St. Michael’s Church, Lixnaw on Friday morning where the Requiem Mass for Michael was celebrated  by  Fr. Anthony O’Sullivan Lixnaw P.P Interment afterwards in Kilfeighney Cemetery, Lixnaw. May they rest in peace.

ACTIVE RETIRED GROUP

A reminder that Abbeydorney/Kilflynn Active Retired are taking a break for the month of August. The Wednesday meetings will resume early in September. We would like to thank all the members for their continued attendance at the social meetings in the parish hall and for their active participation in the planned outings which help to make them such a success. CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday night 21st  August night  at Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 15,27,31 and 32. There was no winner of the 5,500 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Johnny Leinhan, Leith, , Abbeydorney, Noreen Flaherty, C/o Foley’s Shop, Lixnaw and Con Scanlon, Glenoe, Listowel.
The next draw will take place in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn on Monday 28th  August at 10.30p.m with a €5,600 Jackpot.
