Congratulations and well done the @northkerryfootball players and their management especially the @crotta.gaa @senansgaa players Aodhan Behan (wing back) Rory Mahony (wing forward) and Sean McGrath came on as sub and scored a goal in the 81st minute, iced the winner’s cake that will be all the sweeter for North Kerry having to wait for it – a year, then a week, then an extra 20 minutes, they will celebrate it around North Kerry for months to come. w Brendan Mahony management.

ANNUAL CHANGES

𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬: Bishop Ray Browne has announced the annual changes to the appointment of clergy in the Catholic Diocese of Kerry.
With the retirement of Abbeydorney parish PP Fr Denis O’Mahony, Abbeydorney parish will be served by Fr Jerry Keane, who is moving from Eyeries parish. These changes will become effective on Wednesday, July 19th 2023

MINOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

A big win for Kilmoyley/Crotta O’Neills over Firies in the quarter final of the Minor County championship at Farranfore on Sunday morning 9th July winning by 4-27 to 3-04. The game was effectively over as a contest at half time but credit must go to the home side who put in a spirited second half performance. The visitors were able to introduce a number of second half substitutes for the experience. Well done to the Crotta/Kilmoyley players and their mentors.

Heartiest Congratulations and best wishes go to Ray Galvin, Son of Kathleen and Kevin Galvin, Ballyhehan, Lixnaw and Catriona Cullinane, daughter of Marian and Tim Rathbarry, Co. Cork who were married on Friday 7th July at St Michaels Church, Rathbarry.  The beautiful ceremony was performed by Fr. Tom Keane. The bridesmaids were Camilla O’Brien, Martina Flynn and Clara O’Brien. Bestman Kevin Galvin (Jnr). Groomsmen Cathal Smith and Page Boy Cian Galvin. The wedding reception was held in Dunmore House Hotel. The couple will reside in Kilcock, Co. Kildare. We wish Ray and Catriona Many Happy years of married life together.

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday 10th July at Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn.
The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 4,10,18 and 23. There was no winner of the 4,800 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: John Mahony, Leam, Kilflynn, Tom Cronin Jnr, Irrebeg, Lixnaw and Mary Fealy, Abbeydorney.
