Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 1st September, The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 5,7,22 and 30. There was no winner of the 3,900 Jackpot.

FREE COMPUTER CLASSES

Free Computer Classes will be provided in Tralee by Kerry Education and Training Board, from the middle of September to the middle of December (one two-hour class per week). Kilflynn Area Development Clg and Saint Columba’s Community Centre would like to thank Kerry County Council for financial assistance under the Community Support Fund 2025 in respect of the purchasing of new chairs for the centre.

CROTTA GAA

Well done to Kerry players & management who took part in the Sonny Walsh competition last  weekend in Waterford. They narrowly lost the final to Clare on a score of 3.10 to 3.6. Crotta was proudly represented on the day by Jack Kelliher and Eoin Beirne.
Well done also to Kerry U15 Development panel and management who won the Arrabawn Shield Cup beating Clare in Templemore, Co Tipperary on Saturday 30th August.

HERITAGE WEEK

Members of the Society enjoyed a wonderful day out in Kilflynn on Saturday 16th August, organised as our contribution to Heritage Week. Our guides were Drs John Flaherty and Richard McElligott, both local men, and the great Sonny Egan also provided entertainment. We were also treated to refreshments in St Columba’s Centre when we arrived, which were most welcome. Many thanks to our two speakers, and all others involved who helped make it such a successful event.
