SPLIT THE BUCKET

The draw for the May Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” took place Saturday, 3rd June  in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn.
The winner of the May was Richard Laide, Garrynagore, Lixnaw.
Bucket total was €262 and the split was €131. Congratulations to Harry. Thank you all for the great response and support. St Teresa’s N.S. Principal, Nora Falvey drew the winning ticket, and the winning ticket was bought in Parker’s Pub. Funds raised will be used for projects that will benefit and improve Kilflynn. Your support is greatly appreciated. The next draw for the Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” will take place Saturday, 24th June in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn @ 10:00pm.
Get your entries in (as many as you like) before Saturday night 24th June! It could be your lucky Night! We have buckets at various businesses around Kilflynn: –Parkers Pub, Herbert’s Bar and Zam Zam Kebab.
The concept of the draw is simple, simply place your €2 into the envelope at the venue, write your name and phone on the envelope and you could possibly ‘split the bucket!’

OLD CEMETERY KILFLYNN

Prayer Evening: We will have a remembrance evening for all those buried in the Old Cemetery in Kilflynn village, on Wednesday 14th June at 8 p.m. Joining us will be Fr. Denis O’Mahony and Rev. Jim Stephens. This gathering will give everybody the opportunity, if they so wish, to contribute to the upkeep of the cemetery. There will be light refreshments afterwards in St. Columba’s Centre. In the event of unsuitable weather conditions, the ceremony will be held indoors.

Two of the group topping sides will go straight-through to the semi-final stage, with a third group winner having to play in the quarter-finals against the second placed sides in each group. A draw will be made to determine which group winners get direct passage.

Next weekend the Rossinian Congregation will be making a mission appeal in our parish. The Romanians work in East Africa, running parishes in Tanzania and Kenya, providing health care in rural areas, digging water wells for local communities and providing primary and secondary education for both boys and girls, Christians and Muslims.

The Abbeydorney /Kilflynn Care Group Summer outing to Dingle on Sunday 11th June and returning to Chirish Restaurant Abbeydorney for evening tea. Buses leaving both villages at 11.15 a.m. – €35 per person.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday 5th June at Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn.
The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 3,5, 6 and 30. There was no winner of the 4,400 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Brendan Godley, Ballylongane Ballyheigue, Frank O’Donovan, Abbeydorney and Ger Mansell, Abbeydorney
