The next draw for the Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” will take place Saturday, 3rd June in Parker’s Bar, Kilflynn @ 10:00pm.
Get your entries in (as many as you like) before Saturday night 27th May! It could be your lucky Night! We have buckets at various businesses around Kilflynn: –Parkers Pub, Herbert’s Bar and Zam Zam Kebab.
The concept of the draw is simple, simply place your €2 into the envelope at the venue, write your name and phone on the envelope and you could possibly ‘split the bucket!’

OLD CEMETERY KILFLYNN

Prayer Evening: We will have a remembrance evening for all those buried in the Old Cemetery in Kilflynn village, on Wednesday 14th June at 8 p.m. Joining us will be Fr. Denis O’Mahony and Rev. Jim Stephens. This gathering will give everybody the opportunity, if they so wish, to contribute to the upkeep of the cemetery. There will be light refreshments afterwards in St. Columba’s Centre. In the event of unsuitable weather conditions, the ceremony will be held indoors.

KERRY SENIOR HURLNG CHAMPIONSHIP

The launch and the draw of Garvey’s SuperValu sponsored Hurling Championship 2023 took place on Monday, May 29th, in Garvey’s SuperValu, Rock Street, Tralee. The following is the draw:
Group 1: Ballyduff, Lixnaw, Ballyheigue
Group 2: Crotta O’Neills, Dr Crokes, Abbeydorney
Group 3: Causeway, Kilmoyley, St Brendans
Two of the group topping sides will go straight-through to the semi-final stage, with a third group winner having to play in the quarter-finals against the second placed sides in each group. A draw will be made to determine which group winners get direct passage.
The championship is scheduled to get underway on the weekend of June 18/19.

The Abbeydorney /Kilflynn Care Group Summer outing to Dingle on Sunday 11th June and returning to Chirish Restaurant Abbeydorney for evening tea. Buses leaving both villages at 11.15 a.m. – €35 per person.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday 29th May at Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn.
The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 1,18, 25 and 28. There was no winner of the 4,300 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Cal, Kevin and Maurice, C/o Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn, Cal Glavin, Laccamore, Kilflynn and Cathal McLaughlin, Cloughmills, Co. Antrim.

A hard-earned draw for The Kerry senior team in their Glen Dimplex Intermediate Championship Round 1 showdown against Westmeath on Saturday 27th May in Cusack Park, Mullingar! Full Time Westmeath 1-11 to Kerry 2-8. Well done to the Kerry players and their management, especially the Crotta ladies Amy O’Sullivan, Jackie Hogan 0-7 (7f),   and Aoife Behan (1-00). Next up for Kerry is a season-defining game at home in the Fitzgerald Stadium against Meath on Saturday 10th June.
