CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 3rd June. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw   were 2,6,8 and 15. There was no winner of the 2,200 Jackpot.
Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Aidan Behan, Abbeydorney Karen Chawke, Oakpark, Tralee and Ann Jones, Tonevane, Tralee The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 10th  June at 10.30p.m with a €2,300 Jackpot.

OLD CEMETERY PRAYER EVENING

We have a remembrance evening for all those buried in the old cemetery in Kilflynn village on Wednesday 12th June, at 7 30p.m joining us will be Fr. Jerry Keane and Rev Jim Stevens.
Please join us to recall and honor the memory of our families and Neighbours and all that have gone before us, and those that may no longer have people to remember them.
This gathering will give everybody the opportunity, if they wish, to contribute to the upkeep of the cemetery. Looking forward to seeing you, and others who may be interested in joining our prayer evening. There will be light refreshments afterwards in St Columba’s Centre. In case of unsuitable weather, the ceremony will be held indoors.

CROTTA GAA

Congratulations and well done to the Crotta Senior hurlers who bridged a 14-year gap when they had a 1 pt victory over a gallant Kilmoyley side in the Credit Union.
Kerry Senior Hurling League Div 1 Final on final score of 1-12 to 0-14 played before a large crowd at the Sports Field, Ballyduff on Thursday evening 30th May. Crotta were 1-02 ahead after six minutes, all the scores coming from Shane Nolan, his goal came after some hard ball carried by Tomas O’Connor. Dan Collins had Kilmoyleys first score from a free.
Crotta added five more points before Kilmoyley scored again, the Crotta points coming from the sticks of Jordan Conway and Sean McElligott with one each and Shane Nolan with two.
Liam Flaherty pointed for Kilmoyley Darragh O’Donoghue replied for Crotta, Donal Corridon put over a point and Dan Collins added two before halftime, Shane Nolan had one to leave the halftime score Crotta 1-09 Kilmoyley 0-05.
Ronan Walsh and Daire Nolan had points for Kilmoyley, Shane and Cillian Trant had points for Crotta.
The next four points were in Favour of Kilmoyley Dan Collins, Jordan Brick, Ronan Walsh and Bobby O’Connor on target. Kilmoyley were wide with two frees, Shane Nolan made it 1-12 to 0-11. Then came the Kilmoyley barnstorm, finishing with three unanswered points from Paudie O’Connor and two from Daire Nolan but the clock ran out on them.

CHAPTER 23 CREDIT UNION.

There was Great excitement in The Sportsfield, Dromakee on Thursday evening 30th May for the County U7 hurling blitz Crotta Gaa Abbeydorney Hurling Club Tralee Parnells Hurling & Camogie Club Ballyduff GAA – Kerry & Kilmoyley Hurling club were the clubs taking part. All clubs had two 7-A-Side teams with space and time on the ball, the aim of these games. The young players provided great entertainment for the supporters, and it was a joy to watch the youthful enthusiasm of hurling in full flow. Well done to all the kids who were brilliant. Thanks to all the coaches for your commitment to the development of the young players and to all the parents for your time and understanding.

Well done to our U13 hurlers who had a fine evening hurling with Kilmoyley on Tuesday evening 28th May in Dromakee in the North Kerry B Championship Round 3 ,Final Score: Crotta O’Neill’s 7 – 14 to Kilmoyley 1 – 05. CROTTA UNDERAGE HURLING

Crotta Academy Training (U5 U7 & U9) continues each Sunday morning at the sportsfield, dromakee, Kilflynn. Hurling friendships and enjoyment are the aim of the sessions.
