KILFLYNN DRAMA GROUP

Kilflynn Drama Group are back with the hilarious ‘the two loves of Gabriel Foley’, a play by Jimmy Keary. The play tells the story of Gabriel Foley, a middle-aged bachelor farmer, who has been unlucky in love and lives with his mother. In a last-ditch effort to find love, and show his mother that he is perfectly capable of finding a woman, he joins a ‘town’ drama group. Meanwhile his housekeeper has been in love with him for years but he is too blind to notice. Will Gabriel find love in his new drama group or see what has been in front of him all along before it is too late? You will have to wait and see! CROTTA 23K RAFFLE RESULTS

The Crotta O’ Neills GAA Club raffle #CrottaChampo #23000giveaway draw was held on Monday 18th March in Saint Columba’s Community Centre, Kilflynn in front of a nice sizable crowd . The Two Independent observers were Fr. Jerry Keane Abbeydorney P.P and Damien Cashell of Cashell Solicitors. The Winning tickets were drawn by Crotta Gaa Senior victorious 2023 Captain Bill Keane and Kerry GAA Senior Hurling Captain 2024 Tomas O’Connor. The club would like to thank everyone who sold and bought tickets, it was greatly appreciated. The winners have been contacted by phone and by email. Liam Howard, Leith native co-owner of The Three Counties Irish Pub in Chicago, sold the first prize of 10,000 winning ticket to his Mayo native Customer Billy Heneghan. Champagne was flowing in The Three Counties Irish Pub on Monday evening.

KILFLYNN COMMUNITY TOGETHER

Kilflynn Community Together would like to thank all our sponsors of our 2024 St Patrick’s day parade, without whom the parade would not be able to take place.
Thanks also goes to the organising committee, stewards, volunteers, Clive Putman on sound and our MC Mr Fergus O’Sullivan.
We would also like to thank all our local community groups for participating in the parade. The colour and imagination were spectacular.
But most importantly, all the participants really appreciated the support from all the wonderful spectators.
Next up on the calendar is Kerry County clean-up which takes place on Sunday 7th  April at 10.00a.m where we look forward to as many volunteers as possible coming out to give our community a Spring Clean.

CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday night 25th March, at Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 6,17,19 and 31. There was no winner of the 8,600 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Noel McGrath, Upper Tullig, Kilflynn, Christina Somers, Baalymackessey, Ballylongford and Noreen Twomey , The Waterfall, Kilflynn.
The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 1st April at 10.30p.m with a €8,700 Jackpot.

KWD COUNTY CLEAN-UP

ON  Sunday April 7th at 10:00am we’ll be starting our Kilflynn cleanup in the village as part of the KWD Recycling county clean-up day. It is fantastic to give a good “spring-clean” to our beautiful village and surrounding area in preparation for the busy summer months.
The more people that turn up, the easier the job is for everyone. We pass through our village on a daily basis, between work, school runs, walking, running, etc! Let’s now show Kilflynn some TLC by coming out and cleaning it up.
As always KCT greatly appreciates your support. We will be providing bags, some gloves, and some pickers.
