Crotta GAA wished to express sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Tom Mahony Lower Tullig, Kilflynn,  Tom was a passionate Crotta man who loved his sport and always lent his support to the club in every way possible down through the years. A founding member and bodhran player of the Crotta Wren group or the biddy as it started out as. A wonderful festive tradition which still exists to this day, one which has many fond memories for all musicians as well as the many families and households the group visited along the way.
Kilflynn Community provided a guard of honour for the late Tom Mahony’s on Tuesday evening as his funeral cortège passed through Kilflynn village. The Crotta Wren group performed a musical tribute to Tom as a mark of respect to one of the group’s founding members.
