BAT WALK AND TALK
will take place at St Columba’s Community Centre on Saturday 9th October at 7pm organised by Kilflynn Nature Garden Project. Discover the different bats living in Kilflynn and learn about their behaviour and lives.
The Kerry branch of the Irish Wildlife Trust will be sharing their knowledge and experiences of bat detecting. If conditions are good, we hope hear and identify any bats flying around the centre. The event is free of charge, donations to Irish Wildlife Trust welcome. Social distancing will be practiced along with necessary Covid related guidelines.

Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, shoes, bed linen, curtains, towels, bags, belts and soft toys. Please Donate only clean dry and rewardable clothing as we cannot accept wet, dirty or damaged clothes or goods. No Duvets. Drop your bags to the Crotta Hurling Club house, Dromakee, Kilflynn from Monday 4th October, Last day for drop off is Friday 5th November. Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw on Monday 4th October. The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 2,7, 21 and 24.

HURLING RESULTS
Crotta U12’s were in action on Sunday morning 3rd October, taking part in another U12 Go Games Blitz held in Kilmoyley. The guys were fantastic with fine displays against very good Ardfert, Ballyheigue and Kilmoyley opposition. Thanks to all players and coaches JJ Kelliher & Tom Cronin. Thanks to Kilmoyley GAA for hosting and to all the parents for your help and support.
Crotta Senior Hurlers advanced to the next round of North Kerry Hurling Board Championship with a 1-16 to 2-11 victory over a gallant @ballyheiguegaa side after extra time on Sunday evening 3rd October. Well done lads Hard luck to Ballyheigue.
Crotta will play Ballyduff in the semi-final.

The Kilflynn Community Walkway Lights at the sportsfield,Dromakee, Kilflynn will be switched on from Sunday 3rd October. So get your walking shoes ready this Autumn to stay well and healthy. The walkway is open to the public at any time during daylight hours and from 3rd October you can now avail of the floodlighting from 7pm to 9pm 7 days a week. This truly is a fantastic facility for all in our community to avail.

KILFLYNN RUNNING GROUP
Training for the Couch to 5km and 10 km commenced in the Community walkway at the Sportsfield, Dromakee,Kilflynn on Sunday morning 3rd October at 10.00a.m
Well done everyone that attended on Sunday morning, a fantastic turn out. A total of €77.20 cents has been raised towards the cancer bus.
The next training session will be on Wednesday at 7.00p.m and every Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings at 7p.m from October on till St. Stephen’s Day where we will run our 5 km and 10 km. Only 23 more sessions till St. Stephens day. There will be a donation of €2 per night per person. This money will go to the Kerry cancer support group for their bus services everyone welcome
