Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 16th June, The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 5,15,26 and 27. There was no winner of the 2,800 Jackpot.
Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Brendan Twomey, Crotta Cross, Lixnaw, Paudie Commane, P.C Books, Rock Street Tralee and Paticia Foley, Abbeydorney.
The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 23rd June at 10.30p.m with a €2,900 Jackpot.

On Tuesday 10th June at Austin Stack’s Park, Tralee, St. Teresa’s National school, Kilflynn wrote their name into the Cumann na mBunscol history books- their second time this year. Captained by Edward Nolan the side defeated Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn on a scoreline of 4-8 to 1-8 to claim the Cumann na mBunscol division 2 final. Well done to all players for giving an excellent display of hurling with some fantastic scores on show. Huge thanks to Jerome O’Sullivan, Paul Shanahan, Sinead Hogan, Nora Falvey and Cillian Buckley for guiding the team on the way.

The Crotta Senior hurlers commenced their Garvey’s SuperValu County Senior Hurling Championship campaign on Sunday 14th June against St. Brendan’s Ardfert in Austin Stacks Park, Tralee and were defeated on by two points on the final score of St. Brendan’s 1-23 Crotta O’Neills 3-15. Crotta play Ballyduff in round 2 this Sunday 22nd June at 2.00p.m in Austin Stacks Park. Best wishes to the players and their management.

Its was a busy weekend for the Kerry teams, with Kerry Senior Camogie team recorded a fantastic over Down in Round 2 of the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship at Liatroim Fontenoys GAC
On Saturday, June 14th on the final score of Kerry 0-13 to Down 0-11 the visitors led at Half time by
Kerry 0-08 Down 0-07. Well done to the Kerry players and their management, especially the Crotta ladies Amy O’Sullivan, Jackie Hogan joint captain., Niamh Quinn and Aoife Behan.
Kerry have booked their spot in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Quarter Final, that will be played at a home venue, after beating Cork today in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday 14th June on the final of Kerry 5-7 to Cork 2-9.
Congratulations to Niamh Quinn, Crotta who was wing forward on the Kerry side.
Meath progressed to All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals with nine-point win over Kerry in All-Ireland SFC Group 2 Round 3 on Saturday, June 14th, at 4:15pm in Glenisk O’Connor Park, Tullamore. Meath 1-22 Kerry 0-16.
Crotta and St. Senan’s player Cillian Trant was on the Kerry panel. Kerry will play Cavan in the first of the four All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-finals, at 3.30pm on Saturday 21st June in Fitzgerald stadium Killarney.
