CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

Herbert’s Bar in Kilflynn hosted the Crotta Hurling Club’s weekly lotto draw on Monday 15th June. The four numbers drawn from the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw  were 9, 20, 26, and 32. No one won the €8,000 Jackpot.
Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: James Clifford, Milltown, Abbeydorney; Ruairi Weir, Castletown, Kiflynn and Daithi Dulka, C/o Denise, Abbeydorney.
The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday, 22nd  June at 10:30 p.m. with an €8,100 jackpot.

THE KILFLYNN VINTAGE RALLY WELLINGTON COMPETITIONS 2026

The Kilflynn Vintage Rally Wellington Competitions 2026 took place in Kilflynn village on Friday, 13th June, with 60 competitors taking part and a large crowd gathering to watch the fun-filled event. Competitors were required to hurl a Wellington boot as far as possible within the boundary lines, either from a standing or running start.
There was excellent participation across all age groups, with a fantastic number of children taking part and enjoying the competition. The enthusiasm and excitement shown by the younger competitors added greatly to the atmosphere of the evening. In recognition of their efforts, all children who participated received medals.
The winners of each category were as follows:
Women

* 3rd: Mai Brennan
Men
* 1st: Diarmuid Brennan
* 2nd: Shane Herbert
* 3rd: Shane Lynch
Mike Parker of Parker’s Pub presented the prize winners with their trophies.
Congratulations to all the prize winners, and well done to everyone who participated. Thanks to all who came out and supported this enjoyable community event. A special word of thanks to Kay and Paddy Murnane for organising and running the competitions.
We are already looking forward to next year’s event!

OLD CEMETERY KILFLYNN – PRAYER EVENING.

A remembrance evening for all those buried in the Old Cemetery in Kilflynn on Monday 13th July, at 7.00 p.m. Joining us will be Fr. Jerry Keane and Rev. Jim Stephens. This gathering will give everybody the opportunity, if they wish, to contribute to the upkeep of the cemetery. There will be light refreshments afterward in St Columba’s Centre. In the event of unsuitable weather conditions, the ceremony will be held indoors.

It will take place on Wednesday 1st July at 7:30 p.m.

GLEN DIMPLEX INTERMEDIATE ALL-IRELAND CHAMPIONSHIP – ROUND 3

This Saturday, Kerry take on Derry in the final group game of the Glendimplex All-Ireland Intermediate Championship. at Lixnaw at 3.30p.m
We’re calling on all clubs, supporters, families, and friends to come out in force and get behind our fantastic Kerry ladies. Bring the colour, bring the flags, and bring the noise as the team battles for a place in the next stage of the championship.
Your support can make all the difference. Let’s fill Lixnaw with green and gold and roar the girls on to victory! Best wishes to the Kerry Camogie players and their mentors, especially the Crotta ladies Róisín Quinn, Amy O’Sullivan, Aoife Behan and Jackie Hogan.

Kerry’s Senior ladies footballers secured a home quarter-final in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship with a convincing victory over Kildare at Cedral St Conleth’s Park in Newbridge, with a final score of
KERRY 1-19 KILDARE 0-8 ON SATURDAY 13TH JUNE.
Congratulations to the Kerry players and their mentors, especially Niamh Quinn from Crotta.
Full-Time in Newbridge: Kerry 3-22 defeats Kildare 0-17 in the 2026 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Round 2B. Well done to Cillian Trant, his teammates, and their mentors.
Kerry plays Armagh in Killarney on Sunday 20th June at 4.00pm in the next round. Best wishes to Cillian Trant and his Kerry team mates.
