KILFLYNN ENCHANTED FAIRY FESTIVAL

fairy festival 2022

Once upon a time a local community came up with an idea of putting together a magical event. A little committee was formed with the scaffolding of the community around it. Social capital at its best. Many meetings with laughter, madness, big ideas and friendships formed. A magical festival was developed with the focus on bringing children and families back to basics and using their imagination. Local land owners, business, farmers, Community organisations, and local families and in the surrounding areas pulled together with the kindness of their hearts to support this non-profit event, every penny is reinvested back into the festival the following year. Local organisations run little shops to support their clubs. A big thank you to our chairperson Mick Brady.
With commitments of family life and work, hours of volunteering and hard work were done with kindness and dedication from all. Take a bow Kilflynn ye truly are amazing and ye have displayed community spirit once again on Saturday and Sunday 27th and 28th August. Our motto is we learn and grow every year.
