CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS

The Crotta Hurling Lotto Club draw with a Jackpot of €16,000 was held on Monday 22nd  June  in St Columbas Centre, Kilflynn. The four numbers drawn by Independent observer: Marie Beirne, Fahavane, Kilflynn were 12,21,22 and 23. There was No winner of  €16,000 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Helen Kelly/Fuller, Crotta,Kilflynn, Bridget White, Castltetown, Kilflynn and Carmel Quinn, Crotta, Kilflynn.  The next Draw with a jackpot of  €16,100  will take place next Monday night 29th  June  @ 9;45 pm via Crotta Facebook Live. Please note cut off time for entry is 9.30pm on  Monday 29th  June.

Abbeydorney and Kilflynn Churches will be open for private prayer 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.   Please use the sanitisers provided, observe social distancing, follow the signs and do not to enter the areas where access has been restricted. The churches will be closed during Mass times.

Public Masses will resume from 29th June.  Throughout the diocese, volunteers  will be needed to help implement the Government guidelines.  Additional help will be needed with  ushering people to seats in a way that respects social distancing and sanitising and cleaning the churches after use.  If you are willing to help, please contact Bernie in the Parish Office (066 4018996).  More details regarding masses in next week’s newsletter.

Baptisms will be celebrated on 1st Saturday of July in Abbeydorney and on the 3rd Saturday in Kilflynn.

The dates and venues for the Kerry G.A.A. Cul Camps were finalized this week
It’s been confirmed that Crotta O’Neills will be hosting a Cul Camp from August 3rd – 7th to be held in St Senans GAA ground Mountcoal. The camp is open for kids age 6 to 13.
Online registration only and this opens @ 6:00pm next Monday 22nd.

Parents who had already booked a camp online this year can change their booking on Monday and Tuesday next week on the National website before the site goes live on Tuesday evening.
The GAA also is requiring that parents of underage players taking part in the camp to complete an online course before hand. It takes about 20mins to complete.

CROTTA GAA COVID-19 UPDATES

Marie Beirne has been appointed the Crotta O’Neills Covid Supervisor. We wish Maire the best in her new role. This is a very important role within the club in this present time and we would everyone concerned to support Maire, in ensuring the safe return to play and club activities for all our players, coaches, members and supporters.

Covid19 Club Education must be completed before return to play ‼

This eLearning module has been prepared for Covid Supervisors/Club Officers, Players/Team Personnel, and the Parents/Guardians of Underage Players. Anyone attending training sessions or games in Club facilities must also take the module to gain an understanding of the Safe Return Guidelines.

The module takes 20-minutes to complete and can be accessed anytime via any PC, mobile or tablet device. Those who pass a simple quiz will be able to gain a Certificate which they can print or take a screenshot of to show the Covid Supervisor for their team before their initial return to Club activity, e.g. a training session or game.

Following a meeting of the Covid -19 Advisory Committee last Friday , Croke Park have green lighted the opening of pitches for non contact adult training from Wednesday, June 24th.

Minor and underage players can start back from Saturday, June 27th.

All teams will be allowed to commence contact training from Monday, June 29th with club fixtures to start on July 17th.

We are delighted to have activities resuming this week and all will be carried out within National Guidelines.

The situation is still a little fluid and we’re busy organising everything at present. Everyone’s cooperation would be greatly appreciated.

•All parents/ guardians, trainers and players MUST abide by the instructions of the club Covid supervisors.
•Complete a health questionnaire stating,  that you are currently free of Covid-19 symptoms (details to follow over the next few days)
•Before each training session you must sign to say that your child (if underage )or an adult over 18 to say that there are no symptoms of Covid.
•Everyone must bring their own labelled water bottle.
•Don’t share equipment.
•Hand sanitiser to be used on entry and when leaving .
•Travel separately except for family members, no car pooling .
•Players must come togged out.
•No dressing rooms will be open .
•Parents need to observe social distancing .
•Parents/ guardians are responsible for underage players.
•No high fives, hand shaking or hugging allowed at present.

Before we commence training everyone including coaches, admin, parents/guardians of underage players and Covid supervisors must complete the GAA e learning module.

ABBEYKILIX CAMOGIE CLUB

Camogie Training will be starting back on Wednesday 1st July from 6.30 pm to 7.30pm, for U10s, U12s and U13s in Crotta GAA Pitch.
Please ensure each player has their own Hurley, Helmet and water bottle.
Only players who are Registered with the club will be permitted to train.

We very busy putting plans in place for the safe return of all of our players and will keep you updated regarding further arrangements

KILFLYNN ENCHANTED FAIRY FESTIVAL

Please join us this year in creating a magical stay at home Enchanted fairy festival.
There are 3 competitions to take part in. We are asking for a donation of €5.00 per family and you are welcome to donate more if you wish. All proceeds are going to LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.
You can enter all categories, however, you can also just make a donation if you wish. This is a huge opportunity for us to make a difference and support this worthy cause.
