CLOTHING DRIVE

St. Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn are holding a clothing recycling drive fundraising.
Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, shoes, bed linen, curtains, towels, bags, belts and soft toys. Please Donate only clean dry and rewardable clothing as we cannot accept wet, dirty or damaged clothes or goods. No Duvets. Drop your bags to the Crotta Hurling Club house, Dromakee, Kilflynn, between the following hours 7.00a.m to 10.00p.m. 7 days a week. The new collection date is Monday 7th April. This clothes drive raises much needed funds to cover the shortfall in Departmental grants, your support will be greatly appreciated. Please spread the word to your family and friends

CROTTA LOTTO GAA RESULTS

Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Tuesday 18th March, The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 6,12,20 and 32. There was no winner of the 2,200 Jackpot.

STACK’S MOUNTAIN HALF MARATHON AND 10KM

There was great excitement on Thursday 6th March at St Teresa’s National School Klilflynn to celebrate the launch of this year’s Stacks Mountain Half Marathon & 10k which takes place on Saturday 26th April.
An amazing day of fitness, fun & community spirit is promised.
You can walk, jog or run the 10k! The 10k route is the Tullig, Ballyreahan, Green Road loop.

CROTTA COISTE NA NOG AWARDS

The Crotta Coiste Na NÒg Awards Evening will take place Sunday 23rd March at 5pm at the Columbus Center Kilflynn.
The event is in recognition of all our juvenile representatives on and off the field of play. The U13’s, U14’s & U15’s teams will receive their medals along with various other awards.
Special Guests to present the awards will be two All-Ireland Winners.
Kerry LGFA Winning Captain and All-Star Niamh Carmody along camogie sharpshooter & multi winning medallist with Club and County Jackie Horgan
An evening to celebrate our successful year and the continuous development of our youths.

ST PATRICK’S DAY SPECIAL SPILT THE BUCKET DRAW

The draw for Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” took place on Monday 17th March, in St. Columbas Centre, Kilflynn. The winner of the March draw was Sheila Walsh, Rea, Kilflynn. The Bucket total was €376 and the split was €188. Congratulations to Sheila.
Thank you all for the great response and support. The Kilflynn St. Patrick’s Day Grand Marshall 2025, Partick O’Halloran, Fearann Flainn,
Kilflynn drew the winning ticket. Funds raised will be used for projects that will benefit and improve Kilflynn. Your support is greatly appreciated.

The Crotta Senior hurlers are at home in the Credit Union County Senior Hurling League Div 1, Round 2 to St. Brendans on Sunday 23rd March at 12 noon.

North Kerry Hurling Board Centenary [1925-2025]
The North Kerry Hurling Board was founded in Lixnaw in April 1925 and it will celebrate its Centenary with a range of events over the coming months.
Events include:
(i) Friday, 11 April – a Centenary Mass at Lixnaw Church on to be celebrated by former Kilmoyley and Kerry hurler Rev. Maurice Brick
(ii) Saturday, 12 April – Celebratory Banquet at The Rose Hotel, Tralee. Among the invited guests are the Uachtarán of Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns and all surviving past Officers of the North Kerry Hurling Board, together with representatives of each of the North Kerry Hurling Clubs.
(iii) Sunday, 13 April – Special full delegate meeting of the North Kerry Hurling Board to be followed by the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at Hermitage Park, Lixnaw
(iv) March [date to be finalised] – publication of a Children’s Hurling Activity Book for distribution to Children in Primary Schools.
(v) August – launch of a specially commissioned 50-minute film documentary featuring up to 20 past officers and players detailing their reminiscences of hurling in the North Kerry area
(vi) Special Centenary medals will be issued to the winners of 2025 North Kerry Hurling Championships at all grades.

The people of North Kerry are invited to attend all or any of these events. Beidh fáilte roimh ghach éinne.
