Bishop Ray Browne will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to the children of the three schools in St. Bernard’s, Abbeydorney on Wednesday 26th March at 11.00 a.m. Confirmation candidates to be in their seats by 10.45 a.m. We pray that the gifts of the Holy Spirit will enrich the lives of the children, their families and our parish.
CLOTHING DRIVE
St. Teresa’s National School, Kilflynn are holding a clothing recycling drive fundraising.
Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, shoes, bed linen, curtains, towels, bags, belts and soft toys. Please Donate only clean dry and rewardable clothing as we cannot accept wet, dirty or damaged clothes or goods. No Duvets. Drop your bags to the Crotta Hurling Club house, Dromakee, Kilflynn, between the following hours 7.00a.m to 10.00p.m. 7 days a week. The new collection date is Monday 7th April. This clothes drive raises much needed funds to cover the shortfall in Departmental grants, your support will be greatly appreciated. Please spread the word to your family and friends

CROTTA LOTTO GAA RESULTS
Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn was the venue for the Crotta Hurling Club weekly lotto draw on Monday 24th March, The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 3,5,7 and 19. There was no winner of the 2,300 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw: Carmel Chawke, Lismore, Tralee, M. Cunningham, The Cloisters, Abbeydorney and . Martina Hurley, Ogham Rian, Ballinorig,. Tralee The next draw will take place in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Monday night 31st March at 10.30p.m with a €2,400 Jackpot.

CROTTA COISTE NA NOG AWARDS
The Crotta Coiste na nÓg Awards took place on Sunday 23rd March at a packed St Columbus Centre Kilflynn.
The evening was in recognition & honour of the fantastic achievements of our young hurler’s. We as a club are immensely proud of all our young players.
Special guests were local sporting greats and All Ireland winner’s Niamh Carmody and Jackie Horgan.
Niamh and Jackie spoke equivalently and beautifully to the very attentive audience and gave them many encouraging words of advice from the highs and lows they themselves have experienced in their sporting careers thus far.
They then presented awards to the following teams, U13 Div 2 North Kerry League, U14 Div 1 North Kerry Championship. U15 Div 2 County League, North Kerry Div 1 Championship and Tom Healy Shield.
Special award on behalf of Coiste na nÒg went to Mike Parker in recognition of his fantastic and continued contribution to Coiste na nÒg over many years.
Minor hurler of the year awards (The Monty McElligott Trophy) went to Evan O’Sullivan to mark a wonderful year on the playing fields. Sheila O’Sullivan presented the award to Evan on the night.
Chairman Paddy Weir on behalf of Crotta GAA presented an award to Paul Shanahan in recognition and appreciation of his ongoing contribution to the club.
Tribute was paid also to our wonderful Scor members who brought great success again this year. Sonny Egan, Amy Cronin, our music groups and amazing dancers. Scor is thriving within the club with huge gratitude due to Scòr officer Tom Breen and his many wonderful mentors.
Many thanks to all players, coaches, volunteers, parents, sponsors and supporters who make it possible to keep our underage players active and enjoying their hurling.

Well done to Kerry Senior Camogie team and their management of a great win on Saturday 22nd March over Armagh in round 4 of the Very National League, especially the Crotta ladies Rosin Quinn, Jackie Horgan, Aoife Behan, and Amy O’Sullivan.
Well done to Crotta players Rory Mahony, Shane Nolan and Sean McGrath and the Kerry Senior team and management against Tyrone in Round 7 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 2. in Garvaghey on the final score of Kerry 1-19 to Tyrone 1-13.
County Senior Hurling League Div 1 Round 2 Full time at the sportsfield, dromakee, Kilflynn on Sunday 23rd March : Crotta 1-16 to St Brendan’s Ardfert 2-12.
