The Kilflynn toddler group is coming back! Starting on Thursday 8th September, we will be in St. Columbus Hall in Kilflynn at 10.00-11.30 am. Please come yourself and bring some friends, plenty of toys, laughter, chats and finally that hot cuppa with some sweets.See you there!
CROTTA LOTTO RESULTS
The Crotta hurling club weekly lotto draw was held on Monday 5th September at Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn.
The Four numbers drawn out of the drum by the independent observer: Graham Harris, Clounsillagh, Lixnaw were 4,11,21 and 24.
There was no winner of the 3,000 Jackpot. Congratulations to the following who won €35 in the lucky dip draw:
Karl Shanahan, Connolly Park, Tralee, Padraig Cronin, Irrebeg, Lixnaw, Danny Caffrey, Crotta, Kilflynn. The next draw will take place in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn on Monday 12th September at 10.30p.m with a €3,100 Jackpot.

Kerry U21 Hurling Championship Quarter Final
It’s was a 7-point win for Crotta U21’s over a gallant South Kerry side, a hard-working team performance with Crotta boys booking their place in the Semi-final on a score line of Crotta 0-22 South Kerry 2-09 at the sports field, Dromakee, Kilflynn on Sunday 4th September. The home side led by 0-11 to 1-04 at the interval break. Well done to the team and management.

SPLIT THE BUCKET
The draw for the August Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” took place Saturday, 3rd September in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn. The winner of the August was Kevin Ross, Ballyduff. Bucket total was €234 and the split was €117. Congratulations to Kevin. Sonny Egan, Garrynagore, Lixnaw drew the winning ticket. Thank you all for the great response and support. Funds raised will be used for projects that will benefit and improve Kilflynn. Your support is greatly appreciated. The next draw for the Kilflynn Community Together “Split the Bucket” will take place Saturday, 24th September in Herbert’s Bar, Kilflynn @ 10:00pm.

Yes ….we are seeking people from our community (Aged over 17 yrs.) to represent Crotta Hurling Club as part of Scor.
So if you’re a quiz wiz, play an instrument, sing or have the gift of storytelling please get in touch with Scor officer Tom Breen on 087-2748555.
Once we have a list of those interested in taking part this will provide a fuller picture on how best we proceed with the clubs entries for 2022/ 20023
The 2022/23 Season of Scór will begin this year with Scór Sinsír.
Items to note:
The County Final will take place on Friday October 7th in Currow Community Hall
The Trath Na gceist will begin at 7pm and the main competition will begin at 7.30pm.
This year all entries in Scór Sinsír will go straight to the county final, No district finals for Scór Sinsír only.
The Munster Final of Scór Sinsír will take place on Oct 16th, venue to be Confirmed.

PATTERN DAY MASS
In Ballyheigue Bishop Ray Browne will once again celebrate Ballyheigue’s Pattern Day Mass at 11.00 a.m. on Thursday 8th September in Our Lady’s Well and Grotto. Please come and join us on this special day in our Parish as we celebrate Our Lady’s birthday. All are welcome.

Hilarious Comedian Jimmy Jests is bringing his debut Solo Comedy show “It’s a Turf Life” to The Venue, in Parker’s Pub, Kilflynn on Saturday night 10th September, at 9.30p.m

The Sam Maguire Cup will be present on the night, it will be the ideal opportunity for children and adults to take some photographs with Sam from 7.00p.m. There will be a spectacular raffle on the night in aid of Brú Columbanús, Cork, with some top-notch prizes to be won including a Signed Kerry Winning All Ireland Jersey 2022. You will be guaranteed a night of laughs, rants, chat, music and song.
